Luckily, I saw the Clash during the fall of 1982 in Toronto… This kind of music was thriving during those years… And Toronto had an avid scene going on…
Incidentally, Black Uhuru opened for the Clash… They were a very well respected band also during those days…
I really wanted to get tickets for the Buffalo Rich Stadium gig later that fall featuring The Who and The Clash but it was sold out … The Toronto show was awesome all the same…
I have a couple of early imported English pressings of London Calling and this album that are in excellent condition and might be worth a few bucks…Who knows…
We had a particular record store that brought in a lot of Brittish imports during that time…
We went to these shops 2-3 times a week in those days just to see what was coming in on the regular…Record shops were hang outs as much as retail outlets…

For any of you who are intimately familiar with these jazz classics , I’m sure you’ll appreciate how extremely talented these young Italian musicians are…And how they do the songs justice…Enjoy…

Watch till the end of this first track… It’s a perfect example of how you end up with loose wires from drum brushes hanging out of your bleeding cheek…
Ask me how I know…

That sounds epic. By the time I was old enough tonbe deeing concerts it was really just Joe Strummer and some session musicians playing as “The Clash” until the courts made them stop.

Yeah, those were fun times…
The Clash has written some more familiar hits perhaps , but personally this song was my favorite and most inspirational… The driving drums part by Topper Headon stirred up the crowd and totally drew me in…

Whatup, Peeps! Yes, we have survived another cycle of terror! It’s been a while since the last session and lord these speakers are sounding good right now. And the session begins with a new favorite album.

And the party continues! I stumbled onto this on Youtube and had to share it. Kinda blowin me away! It’s sort of a piece of history because it was his debut solo event. The chain is sounding sweet as well.
