So I’m on the lookout for a good decent 100-200$ DAC only for my desktop mainly for my powered speakers (I’ve got a Topping DX3 that im pretty happy with for headphones)
I’ve been using a little USB DAC - but it’s been on the fritz for the last few days and I’ve decided its time for an upgrade, preferably something with optical in so drivers won’t be an issue if windows decided to go on the nuts
So you can’t use the dx3 as a dac for speakers?
Since it’s an amp/dac combo if i hook it up to the RCA in the back it will kinda “explode” 
Right now iv’e go it hooked up to the front but i wanna keep that free for my headphones
Gotcha, well a good cheaper dac is the topping d10, but they are having issues with fakes floating around under the name Aimpre or something. The smsl m100 is a good pick if you can find it in stock
