Looking for a new set of headphones/upgrade

I have been using my Tygr 300r with a topping d10 and liquid spark for youtube/gaming/music listening and have decided I might want another pair to go with them. Budget is $150-200 looking for headphones that might complement the tygrs i.e. does well where the tygrs might be lacking. The upgrade options include paying someone to balance and allow my tygrs to have detachable cable and then buying an amp to utilize the newly balanced tygrs. Alternatively I could get new pads for my tygrs and put a portion of the budget to get some kph30i + yaxi and/or grado pads. Any advice is appreciated.

The detachable cable will be convenient. I don’t think pursuing balanced topology just for the Tygrs is going to pay a lot of dividends.
What do YOU think the Tygrs lack? What are you looking for in sound?
KPH30i and Yaxis are very convenient things to have, I’d never disuade from that. They’re the price of one bowl of instant ramen instead of a meal out.

Get the Hifiman he400is, if you can stretch the budget get the Sundara. It’s considered a benchmark under $500.

Personally I have very little issues with the Tygrs but I did come from MH751 which aren’t complete garbage but also not amazing. I had nothing to compare to them and so I had no idea what to buy when I first purchased the tygrs. Despite having mh751 I still feel that I have nothing to compare the tygrs to and thus no way to tell what I might enjoy/hate about higher quality headphones. From what I have heard online beyers in general seem to be decent to lacking in bass, good mids, and overdone highs to the point of sibilance. I personally enjoy the tonality of the beyers but I might enjoy x2hr slightly more since they seem to be championed as the bass kings under $200 because the music I listen typically has vocal harmonies and I prefer to focus on the bass singers (who get pretty low) and possibly rattle my skull now and then and the tygrs don’t get me there.

I’d consider something from Sennheiser 600 series. It’s almost the opposite of a beyerdynamic. Especially if you like music that is based around vocals.
So 58x, 6xx or used 600/650. The 6xx is basicly 98% the same as the 650. They have a bit warmer touch. 600 is more focused on the midrange/ upper midrange. 58x is a bit more balanced. This is just from memory, correct me if I am wrong.
Since you alredy have a warmish amp, I’d recomend the 600/58x.
