Yes! Very curious to hear your thoughts. Are you coming from the BLON as well? Maybe when my Shozys come in we can compare notes.
Yeah I’d be down to compare and contrast our impressions. I haven’t delved too much into IEMs to be honest. I purchased the Tin T2s a month ago and returned them after being dissapointed with them, though to be fair my expectations were probably unrealistic. I mostly use headphones but I’m looking for something more portable
Looks like you have a couple of really nice sets of headphones according to your profile. I’m definitely curious to hear your impressions. Please report back when you have done some listening!
He also said that the shozy 1.4 fixed the flaws that the 1.1 had
I think at this point on his IEM ranking spreadsheet he has a note that he likes the 1.1 better. Also said it was a kindred spirit to the N3AP which I was strongly considering but wasn’t quite ready to drop $300 on IEMs just yet. Do you have the 1.4? Curious to hear your thoughts.
Might be of interest, BGGAR just graphed these basically an 03 with adjustable bass…
Wow these look very interesting… BLON 03 with more or less bass?
Someone buy it and report back. This is for the MKII version, the MKIII is a few bucks more.
I don’t have them yet. I ordered them on drop and should ship on march 3
I myself am after an upgrade to the BLON BL-03… Does any know the size difference between the voyager 3 and the form 1.4?
The voyager is a tiny bit bigger than the shoddy 1.4 but they both have almost the same shape.
As for very early initial impressions:
I love the build. Not just the paint job (which is gosh-darn pretty), but the overall feel of it is quite premium for the price. They sit on my ears perfectly cause of their shape compared to the smaller frame of the Tin T2 which I personally found uncomfortable due to the sharper edges and lighter weight which made for a awkward feeling fit. Your mileage may vary depending on your ear size/shape. People complain about the thin cable but besides the easy tangling which I will concede, I really do enjoy the lightweight cable. It’s easy to forget that it’s there which is a nice change after spending dozens of hours with the Focal cable.
As for sound, what stood out to me the most out of the box was the great imaging along with pretty good soundstage. It has very good intrument seperation within a well sized space for an IEM in this price range. Treble never gets fatiguing, mids are pleasing but not very forward, and the bass is satisfying. To be honest, I was expecting more bass but I think that’s just cause I’m coming from the Cascades which has fucked with my perception. The Starfield probably has the more realistic bass, but just not the same slam and punch. I read that some people prefer the punchier bass of the BLON-03 so it depends on your preference.
Overall its’ a very enjoyable and non fatiguing IEM that I find very comfortable so I won’t be letting this go anytime soon. It made me a believer in IEMs. Next up…Andromeda gold? lol idk but if I ever decide to upgrade it’ll have to be a big jump ;D
@Mr_Makua looking forward to your thoughts on the Shozys btw
Thank you for the feedback! Unfortunately (or fortunately) I purchased a Rythmik F12 so that pushes all of my remaining purchases wayyyyyyy down.
They have a pair on Ebay UK for a good price

but you can get a pair of new Solaris for the same money?.
That’s a really good buy, I remember seeing your post of it. How are you enjoying it?
UK only sale I wonder if I can catch them under 1k shipped. The fact that there’s only 1000 of them made makes me doubt it.
Picking it up Saturday because the guy lives 2 hours away. Looking forward to rumbling my windows though!
Glad you enjoy it! Nice to hear your thoughts about them! Happy listening.
Researching TE5B vs CE5 atm. Would you mind elaborating more on why you prefer CE5? Except Crin, reviewers seem to prefer TE5B, but it seems that a lot of them simply like newer stuff, so I have my doubts.
So personally I think the ce5 is the more fun yet also more refined iem. The TE5B kinda had some issues with it’s treble response which can make it sound kinda wonky with some more acoustic tracks, but neither iems are ideal for that type of music, pretty strong v shape for both. I think the te5b also didn’t have as refined and also impactful response as the ce5, the ce5 was just more enjoyable to my ears. I also liked the shell/fit on the ce5 more, so that could have played a role for me (although I got good fit on both I think). They were pretty close technicality wise too imo, the te5b had a bit better detail, but I didn’t think it was worth the trade-off personally
