Yeah that is true, but for what you are looking for, you loose out on bass impact and some elevated treble over the 2c. You do get a tad more detail though, I just think you might prefer the bass of the 2c
No, somewhat different, but I think they are on a similar tier of performance
It would be a sidegrade imo, but if you are still bothered by the treble even after grabbing a liquid spark and e30 wit might be worthwhile imo
I’m also debating what upgrade path I should try after the 4XX. I’m wondering if I should skip the Sundara’s and just go to XX (or try a different brand). I really do like the sound from the 4XX.
I think if you wanted to go from the 4xx, the sundara is the most logical upgrade, or a he560v1, but that’s more picky on how you power it. The xx is an upgrade, but it is different from the presentation of the 4xx, the sundara would most likely be the more direct upgrade to the 4xx (if you are looking for a direct upgrade)
So the XX has elevated Treble compared to the LCD-2C?

The edition xx actually has a bit less treble than most hifiman, but the lcd 2 classic has even less
I just looked at the power output of the schiit Asgard and it puts out 5W at 16 ohms??? WTF

So the E30 and spark should give me a Dark sound right? Whereas the E30 and Magni 3+ would give me a warm sound?
The e30 + spark should give you a warmer, smoother, and thicker sound. The e30 + 3+ would give you a bit more neutral but a bit smoother more energetic sound, but not as warm as the spark
Is the spacial recreation between the two different?
The spark would be a tad wider, where the 3+ would be a tad more precise and tighter, but both are pretty solid when it comes to recreating space
