Yes, u can solve bass issue with PEQ.
Just that most people usually rec mx500 shell (vido) or qian39 as a starter bud to try, since those have a higher success rate and if you get a dud at first you might swear off buds based on the wrong impression.
(like I did with the VE Monk Plus/lite…)

I found the LBBS to be a good fit, is that unusual?
I actually think both the MX500 and Qian39 were good too, so maybe I just have a good ear shape and angle. That said I could see the MX500 shell being a problem for some, which is odd since it is the most common shell around.

MX500 should fit more people than bell types.
But maybe you are one of the lucky ones that can fit everything.
Although the MX500 is not that comfortable though, many people report only being able to use it for an hour or 2 before they feel pain. (same for me.)

I rarely get long continuous listening stretches, but I have been using an mx500 ( kbear stellar ) at the office for a couple weeks.
I think my longest period at home was gaming ( my wife had been on a Planet Crafter kick ). That has been a mix of all three. I think for comfort the bell or qian39 are the best, but the mx500 stays in position better in my ears.

Both the bell and the Qian39 (15.0mm ish driver) are a bit smaller so might be too small for you to have a stable fit.
FYI: my RG39 uses 15.4mm drivers so same size as the MX500 bud driver diameter.
