Looking for help with higher end headphones for casual gaming

Hello,

Hope you don’t mind helping me out, been kinda struggling to figure out what fits me. I currently have the Audeze Mobius and it sounds good but not enough power for me. I’m looking to get some actual headphones and don’t really have much knowledge here, this will be for gaming and also hi res music, do you have any good ideas? I listen mostly to EDM but I do mix it up so would prefer something more bass but also balanced.

My budget for headphones and amp/dac are $2,000. Been thinking of either Audeze LCD series; this isn’t for competitive gaming just like coop games and single players and music.

hey EC…what do you mean by the Mobius not having enough ‘power?’

I’m thinking with a $2000 budget, you should get a pair of headphones that will be good for gaming and another pair of headphones that will be great for your EDM.

I use the DCA Noire exclusive when gaming. They have great imaging and detail, which gives me an advantage in FPS games. The sound sig is balanced overall with an emphasis on mid bass. I enjoy them a lot for gaming and music.
