That is what I was saying about the 4xx…very uneven treble. I sold mine 30 minutes after they arrived (like 2 years ago I believe).
You know. I’m currently listening to an album which I’ve listened to thousands of times…I cannot believe the details…which I’ve never heard before…
That’s nice to hear lol, what happens with good headphones. The 4xx are even more revealing btw, curious about ur thoughts on it later.
Yeah tracking still says in route to partner facility…so I’m guessing another 3-7 days…
If you find the 58x a bit sharp in the highs, you might want to try the Koss KPH30i for a bit of fun. Only $30 and you can return if you don’t like it.
Koss is known for making high fidelity headphones for super low prices.
Just a suggestion.
If the 58x is sharp for you little hope beyers and the 4xx won’t be sharp.
Beyerdynamic is the definition of sharp.
beyer should really get into the cheddar cheese making business.
The 58x is no longer sharp. Either burn in or I got used to it. The 4xx were less sibilant but I just preferred the 58x. I’m returning the 4xx to drop. The 4xx was a lot more mellow of a sound, but seemed “faster”. I may still check out a pair of 880s at some point but honestly I can’t justify owning 2 sets of headphones right now. If I had either the 58x or the 4xx I would be happy, but with both the 58x is better 98% of the time, which means it doesn’t make sense to me to own both, at least right now
