Looking to get my first audio setup

Lol. One thing I love about HD58Xs is, you don’t have to concentrate to hear anything. You hear everything clearly, even at low volume.

You may soon realize you don’t need to crank the volume up to enjoy music (…like people do with shitty headphones), because with HD58Xs, everything is already “there”.

I can see that. I’m just contrary… Lol

I mean, lawsuits are probably the main reason why 1 watt and more headphone amps (like the Atom) are not available at bestbuy and local electronic stores. So, yeah, be careful. Tinnitus sucks. :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway, enjoy!

Well, I feel it’s just that the atom is just not something most people will buy lolol. Perhaps they might have a headphone amp in the magnolia section

If I’m gonna have tinnitus it won’t be from music. That’s a certainty. I work in an industrial field…

Hell yeah rnhp lol

Yeah is that my upgrade path lol

Calm down!

Haha I’m kidding but I love the sound I got right now. I’ll check out my 4xx when it arrives and I’ll probably be done for a hot minute. Maybe check out a dt880 if I’m feeling froggy

Uhhh if you don’t like the cymbals with the HD58Xs, at least test the 4xx’s (a bit treble-y apparently) before ordering Beyerdynamics… :grimacing:

That’s exactly what I was thinking lolol the 4xx can be a little sibilant depending on your ears. I definetly don’t think it’s a BIG issue, sometimes a sibilant with kpop but the 58x on the other hand tames that shit really well. So when he said that about the 58x it means they need burn in… Or he’s treble sensetive. Hopefully just needs burn in

They’re already really “clamped” on his head, so I’m guessing treble sensitivity (headphone drivers might need burn-in, too).

For DT880s… All I have to say is, in a Zeos livestream, someone said “I cut my tomatoes with Beyerdynamics”. :stuck_out_tongue: #sharp

If you go with the 600 ohm it’s actually very good and not harsh treble

Btw I cranked map of the problematique (one of my favorite songs) just cause I could…I turned it down…yeah didn’t need anything near that volume. Still gonna blast out my stock speakers in my car everytime it comes on though…

I’m a little afraid I might be a bit treble sensitive now…

The headphones I crank the volume on the most are my LCD-2C. That is not uncommon though as dark and warmer cans are easier to crank.

Hmmmmm…can I come over and listen sometime? :stuck_out_tongue:

Lmao I spent a solid…30 seconds trying to figure out wtf you meant…then I looked at the post you replied to. I facepalmed…the rnhp in the list totally derailed my ability to process the rest of that post initially…

rofl, sorry about that. kinda funny to see grilled cheese sandwiches in the middle of a heavy technical audio thread
