Also was looking at their headphone amps. Mainly the ear+hd and mellowboy

Negative on the Decware speakers, I have listening experience with Shindo products and fell in LOVE…http://www.shindo-laboratory.co.jp/Front/indexe.html
I am sure the Decware speakers are excellent, I just can’t speak to them, only the amps.

@M0N, WE GOT ANOTHER ONE! :smiling_imp:

Wha another one, what?

Crazy audiophile buying everything… Just our type hahaha

Ahhh ok lol, well it’s an easy thing to fall into

In all seriousness, yes there is real beauty in a low power system when done correctly. You have done research and are absolutely looking at some extremely nice products. Hopefully you can find a shop that’s able to work with you even if you have to go out of your city.

Just a question there seems to be 3 separate models of Hagen. Which one do you recommend?

As in the speaker model or the driver itself? I think they only make one bookshelf

They list 3 variants
The af1 a
The af1 n
And something designed to be plugged into their bass module

Yeah you would want the af1a or af1n not the 2.6 (unless you wanted to get the bass module). I personally have the 1a

Never thought about putting flea watt power. I’d like to try it with my Tekton Brilliance. They have 103 db sensitivity. What is a good brand to go with?

For solid state, a first watt j2 is a classic, there are lots of tube amps that are in the flea watt range

More first watt stuff here: http://www.firstwatt.com/prod.html

Here are some tube models for your research pleasure. Boutique but excellent service. I just needed a 10 year old amp repaired, i sent it in and they turned it around in under a week and only charged me for shipping. Good luck whatever you decide.

NGL I want that decware preamp

I get the whole low power thing with tube amps but why bother with solid state? Tube Amps give you soft clipping and just start so compress beautifully. But I don’t want any possibility of hard clipping in my System. You don’t have to always use ridiculously big amplifiers but why go below 50 @ 8 with solid state?
It is often good to choose quality over watts but a Naim NAIT XS 3 will do the same.
Nevertheless, Tanzistors with strong power supplies have conquered my heart … Exposure 5010 Mono I come… one day.

I heard those at a show, they were pretty sweet

I will probably order a rega aethos first because I love my Elex-R so much and the 5010 and a EAR 912 are just too expensive for me. Unfortunately the aethos isn´t available at the moment because of the current sittuation.

Sorry to revive a dead thread but has anyone here listened to a Pass Labs XA 25 or a First watt J2?
