The Blon BL03 is a beast of an IEM for its price point. Itās tuning and timbre is incredible but itās technicalities are some of the worst.
mesh mod it.
Its basically like the Koss KPH30i in the headphone world IMO.
Should I get Kph30i, ksc75 or both?
Both, I prefer the kph30i for music but the ksc75 is unrivaled for gaming.
I only own PP. Gonna get some mmcx moded ones. Might get both and mh755
The ksc75 and the kph30i are better than the PP lol.
An open back of +800ā¬ maybe but, sub 300ā¬ for me a āsimpleā and ācheapā iem as blon bl03 is better in imaging, soundstage, tonalityā¦
This is the only aspect I say you are totally wrong about. No way the 03 is beating OPEN BACK headphones in soundstage, even closed back headphones is a stretchā¦
Well, I donāt rule out thinking that I donāt notice the soundstage haha.
What is the white cable?
Itās the same cable just different colors. You can see in the different product photos.
Okay, after lots and lots of reading in this thread I definitely have my finger on the trigger for the Tea. I already talked with a seller here thatās getting them in stock next week, only 3 units and two have already been reserved. Hopefully their physical shop will be open next weekend when lockdown is over so I can give them a try and might just buy them right then and there, Iām super excited to give them a try when I get the chance.
You rang?
Well, my money is on that you gonna buy it 5mins after trying them. Unless of course, youāre a very huge treble or basshead.
Good luck trying not to buy it
PS: Their sound and stage change with stock cable. Some prefer with stock, some with other cables. See what suits you. Also very tip dependent.
If that happens then I really hope the accept card because I canāt withdraw that much cash in one go hahaha. I already have a very bass forward set of IEMs which are rated as hi-res but not really my jam, the ATH-CKS550XiS, and thatās pretty much the whole point of me looking for a more balanced sound signature. I really enjoy vocals and mids, an extreme example would be Lost Horizonās Highlander with that epic āWHOAAAAHā at 10:35 to just sound clear as crystal
I got that they are eartip sensitive from reading the entire thread from top to bottom, fortunately or unfortunately the shop stocks some spinfit CP100ās so I may pick some up. Other eartips I may have to buy online as well as cables. Might get a yinyoo cable but I wonāt go too crazy. My one worry is that the jack looks chonky and might not fit into the space provided with my rugged phone case.
Also does the Tea benefit from a dongle dac? I know itās easy to run just by the default jack a phone(Samsung A50) but like in my other thread Iām probably gonna get the Jcally JM20 since I got a few FLACs on my phone though I donāt know if the built in dac can handle the microdetails.
Teaās mids are great and vocals sound great, but treble is balanced, just so you know. If you need lots of energy on the treble, not sure Teas will do that.
I like CP100 for isolation and the best fit. However, I prefer Radius Deep Mount with them for all the rest - thatās the ones I still use.
Donāt go crazy on cables (like me). But donāt get Yinyoo unless you canāt avoid it. If you have access to Aliexpress, thereās some nice cables I can rec you.
Itās not needed, but Iād recommend it. Get an Apple usb-c dongle (8 usd or so), will do the job easly for most IEMs. Later down the road you can think on AMP/DACs, DAPs or better dongles, if you wish to. I personally use DDhifi adaptors.
Is there something wrong with the Yinyoo cables? I got the impression that they were pretty good. And Aliexpress, not really or at least, not as available here, but we have an equivalent, Shopee and Lazada, which have decent carriers of stuff
Well I owned one, and didnt really liked it tbh. Quality felt cheap.
Too bad, AE has the best store for aftermarket affordable cables!
Iāll leave your here @Rikudou_Goku of cables he tested. Search for others than Xinhs, you might see something you like. Only non Xinhs and cheap cable I own atm is the Tripowin C8. Itās not bad, but expensive for what you get, in my opinion.
Ahh okay, well Iāll see what I can get. The good thing about the two that I mentioned is that they have their own delivery service from china to where I live. I bought the Fiil T1 lites from china a few weeks ago and it only took a week to arrive with free shipping. I did a quick look at the shop Iām getting the Teas from and it seems that they have their own in-house made cable, so I might give those a look as well.
