Epic photos, congratz!! Nice lens
Yeah. In my opinion Teas does as well and TSMR Lands.
But thats just because the stock cable is horse sh*t.
And for the record, no change after stock (aftermaket vs aftermaket well built cables)
I think I got lucky with that photo. The plastic is quite dark and really obscures the drivers inside.
EDIT: wait, this is the opposite IEM. I’ll try the other.
All right, lunchtime macro attempt! The lens with the added extension tubes actually had some room to focus even closer, but at a certain point, the IEM is basically touching the lens.
EDIT: Here’s one with a /slightly/ more reasonable working distance:
Just like @Resolution, this resonated for me!
Must be a legit human phenomenon. It makes sense, it would be surprising if our canals were not dilating based on allergies, temperature, endless buggeration from IEMs, etc.
wow so beautiful…
Awsome shots. Now show me the goodies (mest)
Left cable is Yinyoo 4 core 7N?
Thanks
What you said about insulation is something I’ve been thinking about and I’ve translated it to over ears like x2hr.
A similar phenomenon occurs, when I squeeze the over ear a little on the sides against my ears it sounds better but when I let go it does not.
Isolation and sound loss is vital.
For IEMs tip bore size and seal will make a large difference with material thickness and compensation also contributing.
For HP physical distance to the drivers and pad material will also make a large difference.
I use the Dekoni choice leather pads on my X2HR, partly because i like what they do with the sound and partly because I think Philips went out of it’s way to find the most annoying material for it’s stock pads and I couldn’t stand them at all.
Maybe my ears are broken or whatever, but a bl03 blon seems to me better than the x2hr in terms of clarity (or at least the cleanliness of the sound), fuller tonality, more body…
Not a surprise. I own fidelio x3 and any of my iems eat it at lunch, even the cheaper ones. Even some of my earbuds do it lol
Edit: Speaking pure sound quality. Technicalities on IEMs vs open backs is apples vs oranges. No iem (that I know of) can compete with a good open back on something like soundstage.
Well, referring to the example above, I don’t notice that the Blon bl03 does any worse than the x2hr in classical songs.
Of course, after some price point, IEMs dont compete with open backs.
