Nope, I have DT770 Pro and I think it depends on how much bass boost you give. For instance, I gave them +5dB boost and handles it perfectly, hence, it becomes more fun to listen. This is just my experience and what I hear though. No judging…

I mean, almost any set can handle +5, try +15

Gotta go for that elusive “Brown Note”.

Got the same problem, had my Teas for 2 weeks then the Dynamic drivers gave up as well. As much as I love the sets, I really made a decision to just ‘downgrade’ to a cheaper set, hence the Mele (but damn, I really enjoy the Mele despite it not being that technical as the Teas, but due to its musicality)

My dynamic drivers particularly gave up when I used the teas outside in humid conditions, was it due to condensation? But yeah, my single DDs don’t have that issue (Aria, Heart Mirror, RHA T20i)

Hurm… now you make me confused to consider Mangird Tea for future upgrade. I am owning FH3 for 6 months now.really happy and amazed of it every time i listen to. Listen every 1-2 days for 3-4 hours

+15 dB :open_mouth: isn’t it too much bass boost though. In my opinion, if you need that much boost you need a set which is already tuned in that way. +10 dB is doubling, I guess +15 dB is like 3x times boosting. g
Giving too much power to transducer more than it can handle it wouldn’t be wrong thing to do?

I live in tropical weather and humidity level is freaking high all the time, but never encountered such problem with any sets while using outside or inside. Even sometimes, I do jogging with them.

The guy likes his bass tho. Looks like its in his comfort zone

We are not talking about right or wrong, or needing that much bass boost and then choosing another set that has more bass from stock.

My point is, some drivers cannot handle lots of EQ and the 770 Pro is one of them, most planars can handle a +15 boost and you will maybe notice some loss in quality and that is it. If you apply a +15 boost in a 770 Pro the result is pure distortion, it is unaudible.

Btw, i hope you guys understand that this +30dB curve was a joke, lol

Anyone know how or where I can compare the mangird tea graph with the blessing 2 Dusk and starfield (because I’m the most familiar with these)? Was interested in getting the tea and the graph may help me figure out if I want to try them

Another one for ya https://crinacle.com/graphs/iems/graphtool/?share=IEF_Neutral_Target :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Edit: Do note it only supports 2 IEMs on a graph, meaning you can only compare 2 IEMs on a graph at once unless you pay for the subscription

This is why I only look for his graph on specific IEMs :joy:
