šŸ”¶ Mangird TEA (6 BA/1DD)

Whats your library like, so we can guide you better? Teas graph might be deceiving.

Very diverse. Mostly hip hop, pop, rap, indie, some rock, alternative, punk and metal as well. Out of all my iems (isn h40, penon orb, blon 03, kbear believe, bgvp dmg, momentum in ear, etc) I enjoy the starfields most for these genres. @nymz

To that genres, Iā€™d pick Teas over Dusk (I own Variations which is Dusk with some steroids).

  • Both Dusk and Teas will have more sub-bass focus than SF.
  • Teas will have better and more present mids than Dusk. Dusk will have more treble quantity and quality. Teas are more relaxed due to that, Dusk might get more fatiguing over some hours, but as always, YMMV.
  • Teas are more balanced, Dusk will sound sub-bass monitor like.
  • Dusk are slight closer to SF presentation than Teas, but will have worse timbre.
  • If timbre is a must, you can also check a single DD for a ā€œdirectā€ upgrade to SF, as Tanchjim Oxygen. That might be one of the reasons youā€™re loving SF as much. Hereā€™s the graph:

In fact, Iā€™ll double down on my previous post. Look at Oxygen over Teas, since you clearly life SF

Tea>O2>SF . I think O2 will sound a little sharp and screaming in the middle. Tea has a much better soundstage and tonality than the other two.

Tonality will depend on preference, and since he loves SF, O2 will be the clear 1 to 1 upgrade, imo. If I like Teas presentation more? Ofc, itā€™s my favourite set

Yes. Probably O2 for him. But Tea is better for me. I still havenā€™t listened to a better 3D scene.

One thing is for sure, Teas wonā€™t beat Oxygen or SF (single DDs) in timbre acurracy, even tho Teas timbre is very good imo for an hibrid.

Stuff like eletric guitar and violins sound great to me on Teas.

The guitars are very good on Tea, as well as the dynamics in the middle. Everyone talks about the dynamics of the bass, but forgets the environment where the guitars are.

Nah, fuck bass, Teas are gorgeous to me because of them MIDS.

Iā€™m a mids guy. I love bass, but if a set canā€™t reproduce good vocals, Iā€™m out.

Yes. Vocals and middle are a problem for most, for example B2, Variations ā€¦

I noticed the oxygen looks almost the same as the starfields when graphed so I was interested in it. Going to see how the KATO and dusk are then decide if I want the oxygen instead

You meanā€¦ Falcon Pro and Dusk.

Thatā€™s the thing that has made me the most reluctant about the o2. Iā€™m pretty sensitive to fatigue from sharp treble. I canā€™t listen the kbear believes for this reason.

Arenā€™t the falcon pros Bluetooth? Iā€™ve already ordered the KATO

Looks really interesting. Going to be a slug fest (hopefully) between the falcon, Kato and O2. I wonder which will be better. I will say the KATO has the lowest THD specified on any iem Iā€™ve ever seen. Idk if thatā€™s gonna be noticable at all but I thought it was neat.

Get Mangird Tea the, Kato and Dusk will have more treble.

You can also wait for reviews on FP.

Kato will be worse than the other two, most likely.

Oxygen is the King of DD. FP might rival that, but we need reviews.

Yes. Then go for Š¢ea. Not only high but also medium frequencies will pierce your ears on O2 :)) Or wait for Falcon.
