In your opinions, thereās anything better than Teas if I want to upgrade from Arias around this price range ($250-$300)? I listen rock and metal at least 60%-70% of the time, the rest of it, Iām listening acoustic music with a lot of guitars, some indie, some lofi. I almost never listen to hip-hop or rap, and I would say almost my entire library is male vocals (very few songs with female vocals).
If itās worth, I really like my Arias, but I just want to upgrade to something more āendgameā for me (I donāt see myself spending more than $300 in iems/headphones anytime soon).
Dusk your coming from Moondrop tuning. I would think O 2 and Falcon Pro are considerations also. Who knows you might like Mele better. Teas I am quite sure are good but you have many choices take your time deciding,HBB said there is an Iem with the sound quality of Teas and Tea price at least wait for this!
Based on guitars being one of the things that hit me more than anything else during some recent time with them, Iām tempted to recommend the JVC FDX1, Iām a huge fan of it especially at its used price point. Timbre is phenomenal.
Caveats that might make it a tricky rec: Unusual fitting for some (took me a while to find what worked even), and treble can be fatiguing, even with the half-dampened filter.
Found which user this was for, and theyāre treble sensitive. Thatās the end of that, then!
I have a confession to make here in the Mangird Tea discussion. So as I mentioned I loved the way the Teas fit. But I felt the sound didnāt have the punch and presence I wanted. It sounded kind of boring to me. I liked the way the Honeydews sounded better, and almost just went back to them, but I was too seduced by the notion of another IEM with the fit of the Teas. So I bought the Blessing 2. And they fit almost as well as the Teas. Granted I clearly have weird earsāthe Arias didnāt fit well for me at all, for example. And I love the sound. I donāt know why you think they have bad timbre, but then I donāt listen to a huge amount of acoustic music (even most of the Jazz I listen to is electric).
So yeah, I like the sound of the Blessing 2 better than the Teas, and the fit is amazing for me. Make of that what you will, I think Iāve found my endgame IEM.
Youāre missinterpreting what I said. Blessing2 is a great IEM. Probably the most resolving one for the price. Thereās a reason why itās recād all over Internet!
Every IEM has its flaws. B2 itās its timbre and fit. You have to abstract from what you finder ābetterā and try to meet a persons library. When someone says his focus is accoustics and guitars, with low treble, you cant think of something like b2.
Iād think like that if someone said āI like close to neutral tunnings and detailā. Then b2 would make the best rec.
Thereās no better between iems that are great on something on a price bracket.
Im very happy that b2 fit you and you found your endgame
At this point Iām not even sure how my preferences necessarily compare to how audio products are described and reviewed. By descriptions, I thought I would like the Tea better than the B2, but I donāt. I thought from descriptions I would like the Sundara better than the HD660S, but I donāt. Guess it just goes to show in the end you can only go by your own ears.
Iām wondering if Iād like the Tea more or something like the Oxygen or Timeless 7hz going from the dusk and starfields. Thereās also the falcon pro to consider too now that some people have their hands in them. I have my Kato still on order so Iāll find out if I like those soonish I guess but if anyone is convincing enough maybe I cancel the order for something else. Someone did put up a YouTube review of the KATO but it didnāt make any sense to me lmao
