šŸ”¶ Mangird TEA (6 BA/1DD)

I honestly wouldnā€™t let what I heard stop me from buying them based purely on the other benefits. The soundstage really was all around more coherent.

Maybe I should try taking down that peak in the second graph with EQ.

For reference, posting the video here too:

No one knows. Iā€™ll just stop using/reccing it. I donā€™t want ppl to feel scammed or not to hear the magic we hear. Ill preserve them and use the other stuff I have

It has an amazing stage imaging. Even more for 300usd.

I bought mine end of the June this year. Never had any problems that are mentioned here. So far so goodšŸ‘

I got mine from Drop at the end of August, no problem as well besides the slight driver flex on initial insertion into the ears, and that the set sounded smoother after one day burn in.

I used to use Spinfit CP145 on my Teas, sound is smooth but downside is due to Spinfitā€™s soft silicon, it increases the pressure on insertion and creates a vacuum in the ear canals enhancing the driver flex. The drivers donā€™t click, the bass just gets sucked out for about 3 seconds, then back to normal.

Recently having added Variations to my collection, I realized that the stock and stiffer silicon tips that come with it pairs really well with Teas. Besides opening up the mids and stage more than CP145 (dimmer bass tho), the best improvement is the stiffer silicon solves the driver flex issue. No more enduring the 3-second vacuum upon Teaā€™s insertion.

Here are the shots of the two tips compared. Also, interestingly Mangird put different color meshes on the left (silver) and right (black) vents, donā€™t know if itā€™s just my set or itā€™s generally like this. If there were any differences with the batches release, I donā€™t think itā€™s due to the tuning but rather possibly the inconsistencies of the vents?

I actually went with small sized ear tips for the Teaā€™s which enables deeper insertion and a better seal.

Works (for me) with both the CP100ā€™s and the Radius Deep Mounts.

I donā€™t use small tips on any other IEMs besides the KZ DQ6.

EDIT: Iā€™m actually using Final E-type tips (though small) on the DQ6 so the Teas are the only set I use RDMs on.

My personal picks as well. I only use RDM nowadays tho. Amazing stage, great mids and treble, which pairs real good with Teas dark treble.

Pfff, 11.11 is closing in fast, but after hearing about all these QC-related cases in this and other forums, Iā€™m bummed to be pushed over to the cautious side and refrain from buying a new pair of Teaā€¦

Same. Since Teas are my favourite IEM, Iā€™ll be taking them out of my rotation til QC seem fixed. After that I might grab another pair (in a far future).

Same. All Iā€™m seeing lately is that Teas drivers die in under a year.

Where did you see that? :open_mouth:

Mine donā€™t look like that. Theyā€™re both silver meshes.

I think that confirms that there are definitely inconsistency issues or quality control issues on Mangirdā€™s endā€¦

Can folks share what color/colors of your left/right vent meshes? This is a more solid visual evidence than people saying that the driverā€™s died in terms of consistency; vent mesh color has no relation to usage and wear. But confirming this also suggests that Mangird is sloppy in producing each unit.
