Well what do you expect if you ask the question above?..yep you get someones opinion no more no less. Best optionā¦Buy, Try, Resell or Keep like the rest of us folks do because as you rightfully said only you will know if it works for you and your library
I was also surprised by this one with its inadequate questions and statements. He doesnāt know what heās talking about, he wants advice! I jokingly said that 07m is 3 x Tea and he started trolling me !! I donāt believe heās been in the hobby for 3 years
Drop has these on sale for 260 USD: Mangird Tea IEM | In-Ear Monitors (IEMS) | Drop. I wonder if the Drop units are also identical to the OG set as tested by @igor0203 and @nymz?
Itās hard to tell without trying them tbhā¦ But Iād avoid Drop regardless, read a lot of complaints with issues returning items etc.,so Iād rather stick with Amazon
I got mine from Drop, lucky I donāt need to return anything yet.
But Iād avoid tbh and go for the platforms that have a better return policy. The set I received had no issues, but the left and right earpiece also doesnāt have matching vent mesh, one black one white Seems like Iām the only one around here who has an unmatching set.
After the whole bad batch issue last time, Drop is the site thatās most difficult to pin down the QC of the set your being sent. Approach with caution.
Where did I start trolling you?
Trolling is not having to read someone elseās opinion no matter how much you donāt like it.
Has anyone had experience with the Mangird Tea and the Tin P2s? I know theyāre different animals but would love some insight between them.
Dude, I spend thousands on iem. You have to spend over $3000 to beat these. Not even really beat them just to get more technical.
Tea is totally end game ready.
I even compared them to mest 2 and I think I prefer the tea.
They absolutely blow away my Solaris 2020.
These things are unbelievable!
the dynamic driver on the right side of my set seems to have stopped working (bass is really dim on it now) any fixes you guys know of?
I donāt have a fix, but just wanted to say youāre not alone. Iāve had two sets fail, both right side dd. First was fixed under warranty, second is now out of warranty.
Are you still in your warranty period?
i got it on drop and its been less than a year, didnt get any warranty tho but idk if it comes with a warranty
Contact Linsoul. I never had a problem but thatās not the first time happening around here. Iām sorry bro
contacted drop and theres nothing theyāll do sadly
Iām thinking of getting them repaired with sgaudiohive since itād only be like $45, I dont think linsoul would do anything since its not something I bought from them
Do that! Glad you found a solution. Tea cult
thanks man!
I finally got a chance to hear how Mangird Tea is like and how it differs from Tripowin Olina (with double filter mod). Special thanks to @nymz , @vald , and @VIVIDICI_111 for sharing their personal experience with Olina, Tea OG, and Tea MK2 and the advice each gave for more insight.
Anyway I consulted, analyzed, reflected on what I liked and not and finally decided to go for Tea OG and pass the Tea MK2. Considerations include preference in how mids sound, my tolerance in peak trebles, and also my preference in ājust enoughā bass. Imaging, separation, etc I think are minimal in the two iem, at least in my opinion.
This is my noob 1-day impression of Tea OG compared to a 3 week-old Olina on double filter mod which I would like to share with you. Mind you that what I write may be totally wrong, but it just reflects what I felt when I heard the sound.
Source : Macbook Pro
Platform : Apple Music (lossless)
DAC : Lotoo Paw S1
Equalizer profile : none
Effects : none
Volume level equalized is around : Olina 90% = Tea 55-60% (roughly)
Olina sound VS Tea sound :
- (Crazy On You, Heart) Sound is more polite. VS Raw/in your face feeling.
- (Crossing, Yosi Horikawa) Sound is separated but not too exciting(?). Sub bass and mid bass more round like a ball (fuller?). Space is very wide left-right, a little bit of depth back-front. VS Sound is more coherent/more together with mids really prominent. Sub bass is there but itās like a knee deep (itās so hard to describe but itās there but more not as noticable as Olina). Mid bass is more like a 2 dimensional circle with some depth (another weird explanation). Space is more narrow but I donāt know why I feel a sense of 3d space more.
- (Bubbles, Hosi Horikawa) Each kind of sound is nicely separated but wasnāt as cohesive as Tea. It felt as if each sound was captured in a separate room and time. Sound is enough but a bit thin. VS Sound was more cohesive meaning it was I was in the same position in the same room but someone was bouncing different objects near me. The sound has more body hence it was more convincing as if the real thing is being bounced in front of you. It felt more realistic.
- (Timbres, Yosi Horikawa) Both sounding really nice. Again, sounds on Olina sound nicely separated but it feels that it was recorded at different times and conditions eventhough each sound sounded good. VS Sounds on Tea felt as if all the sounds were cohesive, recorded on the same conditions at the same time hence it really felt continuous. Without feeling whacked on the face or thumped by the impact of bass, it felt that I was kind of whacked or pushed back by impact (more full bodied) without the physical fatigue felt by physical vibration of the bass, so it was nice and ideal for me.
- (General tracks) Trebles are a bit more sharp in Olina VS Trebles were just enough for me on Tea but it really fit the mids and bass and it made me feel like I was there, at the spot the sound was recorded.
- (Shinigami, Kenshi Yonezu) 1st 20 seconds of song: Olina sounds more bright with the shoes dragging on floor sound more recessed than the actual shoes knocking on floor sound. Bass impact on 16th second less than Tea. VS The shoes knocking on floor with dragging shoes sounds more realistic as one continuity. Bass impact at 16th second deeper than Olina. CMIIW regarding what the sound I was referring to if you know what I mean
- (Summer 1, Vivaldi, The Four Seasons, Max Richter) The violin sound is more exciting (a good kind of exaggeration) on Olina. VS The sound of people taking deep breaths in the pauses between notes or some sound like that was more noticable in Tea than in Olina. It was also more detailed (that subtle sound). Treble was a bit lacking (excitement) for strings sound.
Summarized, Xenns Mangird Tea in relation to my audiophile journey after Olina was :
- More realistic sounding.
- Iām more immersed in the music.
- More in your face exciting vibe.
- Bass a bit more impactful than Olina but not physically tiring for me to listen.
- Treble was more tamed just perfect for my preference in the balance and harmony with level of bass and mids presented.
Iām satisfied, especially knowing that this is the last unit available at a trusted reseller in my country.
I like it a lot.
Happy.
Aaarghā¦ I forgot. Thank you also @ttorbic in giving valuable info for this after-Olina itch
Tea is a journey. Will keep surprising you over time. Congratz!
Oh and welcome to the cult, hereās your
Haha thanks for the shout-out and apologies to your wallet glad youāre enjoying your new set! Iām sure the Olina wonāt be sitting there neglected - youāll find use cases for both
