Not really when you buy the Schiit Vali 2 you give automaticly money for other tube.
But i find the Electro harmonix gold edition works well on it.
It cost a little bit more as the normally version.
But id depend what Phone it ist.
When the Phone is to bright is not nessesary to buy a bright tube.
I can get a CTH+SDAC for a very good price. How would that compare to the LS+D10?
I own a CTH+SDAC and I’m not a huge fan, it’s OK.
It’ll give you a good listening experience with some SLIGHT warmth.
I think for most listeners they’d at least think the LS+D10 was more resolving, though both would be probably limited by the headphones most would plug in.
I have not tried changing the stock tube in the CTH, so I can’t comment on that.
