Listen to what he says starting at 00:30. He’s only quitting doing video reviews. And those are basically just reading his review notes – which he plans to make available to the public henceforth. Plus, he may well do live general Q&As plus live headphone review Q&As on YT. If you haven’t watched one of his multi-hour Q&As, they’re a gas. So it’s likely more a format change than a cessation.
On top of that he’s active on Twitter doing headphone content and says that will continue.
The reason for this change is the blow-back of negativity he gets for the critical content of his formal YT reviews. So of course what he really needs is a good long dose of HiFi Guides Forum positivity and camaraderie. Zeos can contact him and extend a personal invite. I’d think that’d do it.

So would not say his that technical or good at it.
But it is true on the fact. It is not fun.

Sad to see him go from youtube directly, I primarily liked his videos, but I generally got a sense of superiority regarding reviews under sumitfi with him. Also I would post disagreements if I disagreed with what he said from time to time. Nothing major though, I always post disagreements if I find one with any reviewer so no biggie. I think the biggest one with zeos was the t20 and recently with some critique of his nutube review. I think metal and a new channel, max settings, ive had the most disagreement on. Also olav sometimes smh.

I agree, my impression from his videos is he’s trying too hard to be too “scientific”, he’s looking too hard to justify what he already believes.
The main reason why he’s done with reviews, is because of what he said himself. He didn’t want his channel to get big, and was gonna make sure of it.
I like him… its subjective and he gives facts. Z gives feelings… it was nice having both as a resource… and you could always tell when he likes something.
I dont get it. He’s gonna give his notes on headphones anyway. why not just jump on camera and do a review since hes just reading notes anyway. I wonder if theres a reason hes not telling. He does give a very shy boy kinda review. notice how he rarely looks at the camera lol. Kinda shifts around. Maybe he finds it hard to be on camera
it takes time and resources to do so. just giving note like a written review is much less effort. doesn;t have to give a shit about being clear and editing as well as no takes. just let the man do what he wants to do at the end of the day you still get his opinion. personally these days I would much rather read reviews
as well as the fact that hes not enjoying I would do the same thing If i were him I would stop purely cause I didn’t enjoy it
