This has never sounded better - timbre, note weight, drums, resolution, tonality, macrodynamics, staging. One of the favorite test songs of most guys here. The music literally sucks you in.

Can anyone recommend a high end custom iem thats good for Metal. Cost dont matter. The best possible.

I haven’t listened to them, but I’ve heard they’re good for metal. You should ask if they do custom builds.

I have tried the Astrolith didnt like it that much. I dont think the Satin is available as custom. The Mentor is really interesting.

Thanks for the help

Hi. I tried the Campfire Audio Clara at a local event a a few days back and to my ears it sounded amazing for metal music! I can’t comment on it’s price to performance ratio though. But it really did sound great! Good non-fatiguing treble and thick-warmish sound, good imaging as well from what I can recall.

Have you tried tha letshuoer cadenza 12? Had the best double kick drum separation I’ve heard so far. They have a lot of experience with customs too.

Another one to try would be the craft ears omnium. It’s not as midbass focused, but very fast, good subbass extension. They also do a lot of customs for musicians etc.

Both have good technical performance (instrument separation) throughout.

I dont think Cadenza12 is available as custom but I could be wrong. I have a Custom Omnium but it lacks midbass to me.

Thanks

I second @yogurt’s C12 rec. And as he said, LS will do it custom for you.

I probably wouldn’t choose the C12 for metal as a first choice for hi-fi unless you listen to rock or slower metal. I imagine the smoother transients won’t be in the service of more dynamic or aggressive music. Same with the Klara, although I imagine it will have much better mids, better bass and overall better tuning for metal, but it can get crowded in the mids. The Astrolith will have distant mids and overall it’s better to listen to the IE600 instead of the Astrolith. Omnium seems a bit overrated to me and I wouldn’t consider it metal. These are just guesses. Here I think the best job will be done by Amber Pearl or Mentor, since there are no price restrictions and they are available in custom.
