Meze 12 Classics V2 vs Blon bl03

My birthday is around the corner and I’ve decided to enter the audiophile world. I’m thinking of buying a set of IEMs which are cheap and really nice. So far I’ve thought about getting either the Tin T2 plus (T2s are out of stock in my region), KZ ZSX, Blon bl03 or the Meze 12 Classics V2.
What I’m looking for are rich mids (I like jazz and vocals), decent sound stage and imaging. (Sound stage is a more important aspect as I’ve been using the narrowest pair of headphones imaginable.) . I’ve narrowed my list to the Meze’s and the Blons but I wanna make the best decision possible. What are your thoughts? Are there other sets that I’m unaware of? Please let me know!

Honestly if you want a blon o3 the t2 plus is basically an improved version of it I would honestly get that. The build quality makes it a better pick than the meze and the sound, and fit makes it a better pick than the blon

Ah I see. Thank you for the input!

Non replaceable cables but Final Audios e2000 or e3000 are worth a look… the 2000’s v shaped e3000 more chill :man_shrugging:

+1 for the e2000. They’re always with me. Nothing bad about them for the price.

Blon 03 never fit me well and I don’t think it’s just me. A lot of people had issues with them and imo xelastec tips are an expensive gamble to fix their fit.

Probably gonna give them away to family.

Edit: I have the e1000, not 2000. Sorry, I get them mixed up sometimes.

LOL I gave my 03’s to my step-daughter for the very same reasons :+1:

Nice! Is your family into audio as well?

I have the Blon BL-03’s, the KZ ZS10 pro’s, Tin T2 and the Blon BL05s’s.
You want soundstage? BL-05s.
You want warmth and bass? BL-03
You want intimate vocals? KZ ZS10 Pro
You want -and I know I will get murdered for this- the most mediocre set of IEMs I’ve ever heard? Detailed but boring? T2

I’ve heard the bl05s have shouty upper mids? Is that something i need to be aware of?

I got them yesterday. Listened to them for a few hours and didn’t find anything like that.
i’m pretty treble sensitive so I don’t know if I’d be as sensitive to high-mids but… nothing I can recall.
They’ve been on the burn-in all night and day so when i get home I can check :stuck_out_tongue:

Any songs you enjoy listening to where you might encounter these problems?

Maybe Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley. But I think the song itself is a bit harsh. I mostly listen to orchestra/ jazz tracks, but here and there I listen to stuff like Chris Jones. I just need something that can emphasize the width of those tracks and maybe some detailed mids for vocals

I’m a big soundtrack guy (I swear if you look at my top ten most played songs 9 are Hans Zimmer) so I can definitely follow you on the wide orchestral vibe!

Imma check on Chris Jones and hallelujah tonight

Same here, but I mostly listen to game soundtracks, Skyrim being one of my favourites. Jeremy Soule is a genius I tell you

Hallelujah sounded amazing! Not a big fan of Chris Jones but nothing sounded harsh or shouty.
More Than You Know sounded a little shouty but honestly it seems to do so on every pair of IEM’s or headphones so I feel it’s just a shit recording :stuck_out_tongue:
