Hi guys i am stuck between the M40x and the Mh751 , i am gonna using it for gaming and listening for music in the office and while i am taking the bus back to home, is the mh751 really has a comparable sound quality to the m40x , i know the mh751 has the advantage in term of comfort and soundstage puting them a better gaming headphones but what about music experience is the mh751 a more enjoyable to listen , mor clearer and detailed ?
help choose if you have experience with this two headphones
I can’t speak on the sound quality of the Mh751 but I’ve also heard they are good compared to other gaming headsets. The m40x, however, I would not recommend. It is incredibly narrow and claustrophobic sounding with smeared details and somewhat harsh sound in areas. I don’t enjoy them for music and would NEVER game in them. I know that’s only 50% of the question but hope it helps a little.
ok for M40x, you have to mod it. Currently, I’m using ZMF cowhides and HD600 comfort strap as a mod with a boom pro. With the mods, I can safely say that it is pretty fun and enjoyable. the highs arent as peaky, bass increases, soundstage and space increases. Of course you lose that original sound signature but the comfort and the fun sound makes up for it
This is what i am afraid of i used to have the superlux HD668b until it’s dead i was so impressed by the quality it was so clean and airy but not so comfortable , the mh751 grab me because it has premium comfort and good soundstage i think i will try it after all if i didn’t like it i’ll sell it and buy something like the beyer dt770
M40x sound OK but they’re the most uncomfortable headphone I’ve ever owned.
Like give you a headache within 20 mins of wearing bad. Give them a skip bro, I’d go for the dt770’s
