Yeah, that should be plenty imo. Should be just fine :+1:

Appreciate the advice! I was hesitant with posts saying 80 wpc is the minimum for a desk setup. Thought i may have to reevaluate my plans.

These, or OoO with a 8-10" ported sub?

I would say the OoO if you also get a sub with them. Depends on the sub tho

Anything sub $200 you’d recommend?

I mean if you want to go big for the price you could get the BIC F12 which is nice

The Sony SACS9 is also pretty good. The Yamaha NS-SW100BL also pretty good

Received my RB42’s today!!! Running them off a Topping MX3. Initial impression is 2 thumbs up. Still need to do more listening to get a full impression…

Niceeeeeee. Got mine like a week ago and I LOVE em too. Just had to really work on speaker positioning. Anything less than 2 1/2 feet was too cramped

If my family isn’t around I prefer listening to these than headphones. Something about having it in front of you feels special like you are at a concert.

Agreed. This is my first speaker (stereo) and I must say I prefer speakers for sure. I mean even if I had crazy good sounding headphones the reason I prefer the speakers is also that there is something about having them in front of you. The sound, the distance it’s just more special

Any thoughts on this powering the RB42s???

this also exists

Not for the rb42 lol, would not recommend

That should be fine, personally I prefer the topping pa3 with them, but that should also work too

is this a good deal for $45 used? for rb42

Would this amp be enough without a DAC? Or would you recommend this amp as well as a DAC? If so, which DAC? For relatively lower budget. Thanks for the feedback!

What do you plan on using as your source?

Planning for a TV setup, not desktop.

If you have RCA out on your TV, I guess. DAC would be recommended though.

Would a receiver like this be more cost efficient for a TV setup with the RB42s?
