Modhouse T60rp Argon

I’d check out the XDUO XA-10 all in one that Z reviewed recently. He features the T60s in the video to show off the power output. It’s pricier than what you’ve been look at, but being an all in one with a bunch a extra features it may still be worth a look. They’ve been out a while so maybe you could land a used one. [EDIT] BTR7 is supposed to actually do a pretty great job if you turn on the hidden extra high gain mode in the app.

Congrats friend, enjoy! Couldn’t agree with your impressions/review more. They’re some seriously special cans and a wildly good deal at the price.

Deffo recommend the Xduoo XA-10 as well use mine to effortlessly power my Modhouse Argon Mk3s. They are often on sale on Linsoul, and Xduoo. Bagged mine new for only £240 on the Linsoul 618 promo weekend last year

Hi guys I’m really close to pulling the trigger on argon t60rp-s but im worried my current dac/amp combo might not handle them. Does anyone have experience with fostex hp-a4bl as a power source for these cans? Will it provide enough power?

It’s recommended to have an amp with at lease 1W of power at 50 Ohms. I don’t think the Fostex hp-a4bl will do the job. If you have the money a Schiit magni or JDS amp will probably get the job done.

I know this isn’t the thread but haven’t seen one for it. Has anyone got their hands on the Modhouse tungsten’s yet?

Impressions from this post by GoldenOne;

These aren’t on demo at a booth but Ryan gave me a demo and oh goodness… These are SERIOUSLY good.
These are honestly knocking on the door of some seriously high end cans (I’m talking Susvara etc) but for less than half the price.
The downside at the moment is they’re just about the hardest to drive headphone you can get (dCS Lina amp and Holo Bliss could sit maxed out at slightly less than listening volume). Ryan is working on sorting that though. Definitely keep your eyes on this one!

I’m next in line to get the single sided.

My T60RP Argon’s has the right ear losing audio. Probably due to a few (2-3 total?) Painfully accidental drops onto carpet a while ago.

When the cable above the left earcup moves it goes in and out, but it’s not possible to get it stable anymore.

Emailed mod house about 5 days ago and hopefully will hear back. Happy to pay for repairs as it’s been about 2 years now I think.

Ryan is super busy so it might take him a few days but he will get back to you.
I have always gotten responses sometimes it takes him some time just because he is a one man shop.
I’m sure he will take care of you though.

So i bought t60 argon for 350 and when i got them they felt unusually light i looke inside it had little modding going on does your have a lot modding going on.

I’ve never taken mine apart but they have a pretty decent heft to them.

I have the exact same issue. Did you manage to fix your wiring issues? I emailed Mod house a month back but haven’t received a response. I think its a wiring issue on the left ear because, as you pointed out, moving the wire up/down gets the audio to go in/out.

I emailed them, but he did seem super busy. I emailed them about once a week and he got them fixed for cost of shipping. Took a little while but he is launching new product, so I’m okay with it.

Sounds good, thanks for replying. I’ll keep at it. I know he’s busy with the new headphones as well.
