I think you’re just misinterpreting the wording of the email that says stock is limited and they are first come first serve. The email is to notify you the item is now available, they just make that statement to get you to “hurry up and buy” while it’s still in stock.
But the SMSL 888 has just been released and it’s 1 more than 887!
