I found it had neither of those problems. It just didnât wow me like everyone said it would. I prefer the fit and sound of my TFZ Live 3 IEMs to be honest. Better detail and imaging, and I prefer the sound signature. Iâm not saying theyâre garbage or anything, maybe just not for me, tried swapping out the tips from the TFZs to the Aria to see if it would help- they still didnât seal well. Sitting at my desk and holding them in to achieve a good seal they still didnât do much for me. I agree about the comparison of IEM to headphone- I just know people throw the term Harmon Curve around for both.
Donât particularly know about the TFZ so no comments on that. Moondrop usually uses the Harman Reference, and they mention this on their materials. Theyâre also very focused on tunning the FR of theyâre IEMs so I would trust them on this part. But yeah, there is more to phones than just tunning, so I completely understand you.
Hopefully this experience helps you finding what youâre looking for in you future cans.
Hi,Iâm new here,is the Aria still good today?
The aria is not old at all, why would it be not good?
Not only it is good but itâs one of the best value headphone in its price bracket. It is sitting on the top of the mountain of 0-100$, with Mele and thieaudio legacy 2 (according to a majority of reviewers).
Just received the Aria two days ago and I can vouch for how good they are! For the price theyâre quite impressive. I enjoy the smoothness of the iem.
A local business I purchased the Arias at accidentally sent me two pairs. I like these earphones so much I wish I could keep both.
Unfortunately I only have two ears and one set is enough to satisfy Had to send them back so someone out there can enjoy these gems too!
Glad to hear that,Iâve ordered them yesterday since many reviews (youtube/forum/reddit) say it is very good. Howâs the stock eartips tho? Iâve also ordered spinfit c100+ just in case.
nice man, Iâm sure you wonât be disappointed. The stock eartips surprisingly are okay, I have weird shaped ears and they still worked fine. With the stocks tips the seal is just above average. Some Spitfits would definitely make the seal better!
You could have gotten a backup pair of Arias just in case your 1st set has some issues like paint chipping or the 2pin connectors being loosed. But hey, if your single set does not have any issues so far, then thereâs nothing to worry about I guess.
yeah so true, but the store owner seems like a nice guy. Wouldnât want to tarnish my relationship with them and make future purchases awkward? thatâs if he found out I guess.
But mines perfect and I have a fair amount of other earphones in my rotation so hopefully that helps with the longevity.
Some folks on FB and other sites having some QC issues with Aria.
Cracked open while he was sleeping.
oof
thatâs concerning
Is someone here into equalizing?
I tried to do some equalizing myself in the past without much success and did some equalizing based on oratory settings with mild success.
However I had some ideas I tried out today and came up with this, which completely changes how my Aria sounds and imho much much better. I am astonished how much equalizers can do. They seem like black magic to me at this point.
Can someone please try these settings and tell me wether my ears are broken or if this actually doubles the value of the aria?

Thatâs actually kind of you, to be honest I would do the same if the seller that I have been transacting with since day 1 and have a good reputation for most of the time.
It still sucks that my pair has that same defect as my Starfields.
Nothing but a good old superglue can fix that, it still sucks that kind of problem happens to some people. Would rather have that problem instead tbh, if the painting job is better.
Add some solder into the mix⊠the left pin on the connector is barely workingâŠ
Mine have loose cable connectors, which doesnât do much to inspire confidence on the QC or design.
The sound on the Aria is great, and they are fantastic for detail retrieval.
For me they are right at the edge of brightness for an all day set.
The stock cable is bad enough that I replaced it during the first week.
Under $100 right now, Aria and Mele are my favorites.
what cable are you using right now for the Aria?
I bought the Linsoul Tripowin Zonie 16 Core for $20 on Amazon.
I like it, but I typically use the 21 core Jelly cable on the Mele too, so maybe I am just used to them.
I am using a NICEHCK 16 Core Black Cable, surprisingly soft and it matches well with my Ariaâs black color though ruined now since there parts from the Aria chipping off. Might give this one a resprat treatment as well if it gets worse.
