I better be careful not chipping off its paint, it’s too beautiful for it to be chipped off. Right now, it’s inside its IEM case and I am not using it for now because it needs a break.
well, if you just want a nice looking iem (and a good one) you can get the purple blon 03 (aka starfield version lol).
Please I already have the BL03s and they are the exact opposite of my Starfields right now. Some of its shininess are chipped off getting that worn-off and grunge look.
lel, I sure want that purple 03 too. But already have the 03 and I really dislike having duplicate iems.
Nice, it matches really well with the starfield.
purchased similar style 16 core, you might want to watch out on the aux end, the stress relief on those kinda shitty, at least with mine.
that look gorgeous.
Firstly i got the T2, then i bought Starfield. Starfield is realy good too, love it. But i wanted to give a try at these T4…
Many reviews were stating Starfield as a winner.
But, i prefer the sound of the T4 on most musics.
Since i have an USB Dac (tempotech sonata HD pro), the Starfield sounds better but i have to admit that the T4 sounds fantastic! (this DAC is just so good btw) I’m using USB player pro app with my S8.
It is true that sometimes voices are a bit too much forward, but what a @!#@# sound!! Punch!!, deep, bright, clean, clear, wide. I only hear listen to Flac and DSD.
I think that imaging, soundstage are much better now. The T4, on this part, is as good as Starfield.
I’m beginner on audiophile iem, i may be wrong, but i have the feeling i’ve reached a perfect sound.
So, no, Starfield is not a T4 killer. It has a different sound, more relaxing, good for long listening. But T4 gave me the PUNCH!
I’m a bit confused about these IEMs to the point where I almost feel like there is either something wrong with me or with the IEMs. I used to have the Tin T2 and I bought the Starfields to replace those when they broke. I chose the Starfields because I read in reviews that they are basically a better version of the Tin T2 and the most logical upgrade from the T2. Now maybe it’s me, but I don’t see these as direct upgrade from the T2 at all. If I were to describe the T2 I would say clea,r bright and forward mids a bit. If were to describe the Starfields I would mostly say more bass than the T2 and better soundstage. Am I missing something / not hearing correctly?
Sounds like perhaps the t2 upgrade you were looking for would consist of more detailed, exciting signature compared to what the starfield brought to the table?
I would guess people would say the Starfield were an upgrade from the T4 because they may have preferred a bit more bass and soundstage and those things may not be what your looking for perhaps.
It might not be the sound your looking for is what i’m saying and not that your missing something well aside from the sound signature your hoping to hear.
To me, that sounds like you prefer the sounds of the BLON BL03s when it comes to having more exciting sounds and more fun listening while it is in you ears. It is one of best of IEMs I ever owned as well when it comes to sounds that it gives to me. To me, the Starfields and BL03s go neck-in-neck on what they give to me and it depends on the mood. There are days that I would go for the BL03s for fun listening and more exciting feel, but if I want to chill and remain all calm with neutral sounds, Starfields. I think the BL03’s drawback when you first get them will always be its stock ear tips and cable, for they are not that really good, though replacing those with better cable and ear tips will make the BL03s god-tier.
What about the FH3? I’m considering selling my Starfields and buying a pair of FH3’s and then selling my Shanling UP2 and replacing it with a FiiO btr5.
FH3 is also good and I think those are well-suited to your tastes more and I think the sound signature you will get from those is an overall win for you.
FH3s have a similar signature compared to the Blons with the treble shaved off, more mids with mids and highs being clear, and the bass put under control and focused more on sub-bass.
Haven’t listened to the Starfields myself, I’m actually debating buying them if money and my SO would allow me.
I received a pair of the Starfield a few days ago and they are a perfect companion for my Toneking Lucifer. They excel at electronic, pop, and rap/hiphop tracks. I still prefer the TK:L for acoustic and orchestral tracks. I think I’ve found my on the go endgame set. Still looking for the perfect tips though.
Both look beautiful to look at, but too bad my Starfields’ right piece blue paint is chipping off a bit already, and it sucks that it has to happened to a beautiful IEMs like those.
It might sound insane, but I really consider getting them just because the paintjob…
But you gotta admit these would make a great pair😅
That’s one nice card deck you have, sir.
Must say I, don’t have any other IEMs but I do really love my Starfields, they just have the sound signature I was looking for and putting em on my new amp (IFI zen can) So impressed. They look amazing had them a few months now and no chipping and still sound as great as I got them. Also they look amazing. I think I do want more IEMS just to compare but for now these are great for what I like.
Hi, FH3 are similar in soundstage. But much more lively (especially if you are listening Rock), mids are more forward and a bit cleaner. Starfields extend a bit more on high trebles. I don’t think FH3 is sub-bass focused (much less than Blon), it might depends on tips you use (i use spinfit CP145). But bass are so well controlled on the Fiio, it is not the case for the Blon.
But it is not the same price…
Since i use 2.5 balanced cables i enjoy more the tin T4 over the starfields. Sounds is more detailed, soundstage is not as wide but the tuning is better for my taste. Electric guitars are a bit more refined with the T4 (as good as the FH3).
T4 almost equals the FH3, FH3 has a widder soundstage and better bass (not a huge margin), both have good tonality. I still listen both.
Tin T2 still got the crown on soundstage width, and they got stuning bass (and sub bass) when amped…but mids and trebles are cleaner on FH3 ans T4.
Starfields, with the T2, are the more relaxing i have (i appreciate sometimes), too much relaxing for the starfields (often).
I’m still experiencing.
