MSR7b with Yaxi pads help

Hi,

I got a BTR5 recently and have been looking for a closed back balanced pair to couple it with my BTR5’s 2.5mm input and found the MSR7b to be the one.

Sadly, they don’t sell official replacement earpads on their site anymore and special ordering them is impossible for me due to a very long story that I won’t get into here. Just know that I can’t special order them period.

I did extensive research and found that the Yaxi pads are the best (or least bad?) third party replacements. Anybody got experience with this combination or any knowledge regarding it? Should I go for it if the only way for me to maintain the earpads is through these Yaxi replacements?

I listen to the following: J-rock, j-pop, jazz, piano solos, hiphop, and electronic mainly.

It’s pretty good on my MSR7SE although it’s a completely different headphone. Imo you usually won’t go wrong with Yaxi pads

havent tried the combo, but yaxi pads are go to replacements on quite a few headphones. i think you will be fine with them.
