That really is tide look and not messy at all.
When you have the “switcher” it’s a step forward.
You could easy triple or quadruple that amount cabling (not same cables) but the amount of cables (power, signal, network, video etc) and put them all together in to a nice mess. That’s what i have have. 
And no added hisses or whines.
