Muse HiFi M6 Portable DAC & AMP

Looks pretty interesting, hearing some buzz about it on Reddit and on Discord.

I got some info:

World’s First Bluetooth Tube DAC/AMP

Rarest and Smallest Nixie Tube

Shockproof & Boosted Circuit for Portability

The photos on reddit look promising: https://www.reddit.com/r/iems/comments/1o50jac/the_muse_hifi_m6_double_literally_has_my_name_on/

**The price looks to be around 400, portable tubes, with bluetooth is the main factor and a cool knob. **

for the other owners of this device.

anyone noticed that you have sound output through both usb ports on PC?

it shows up as 2 different devices

while connected to the charging usb-c port you get a sound device with the name AP5125

usb info - AP5125-V1R1-B2405D02-MUSE-HIFI-M5-LD-U96K-HFPBT-QTILAP_encry

which plays sound even if BT connection is active to another device. (BT signal has priority when sound is played on the other device) when no sound is playing over BT it switches back to the cable connection. however when you switch on the m6 to usb/PCM you have no sound

data port shows the M6Double as a Headphone device and you have to switch to usb on the M6 itself to have sound playing.

anyone know whats up with that?

I haven’t noticed this myself, but I’ll say this - I do wish the interface were a lot more intuitive. Maybe I’m just spoiled by the BTR17, but having all of the outputs and inputs on one side, the menu screen on the top, and the buttons on the side proves to be a little bit of a pain in the ass to operate the thing when changing settings, especially with the hella short USB-C to C cables I have. A longer cable would help, but still not the best design in terms of usability if I’m honest lol

i use it in set and forget kinda way.

using BTR7s media controll buttons, i was operating it blindly (skip track, volume, etc).

i have shifted those functions to my phone now when on the go.
