Bought my very first pair of AKG headphones, I decided on the K240 MKII, since they’re on special on Amazon Au at the moment for $89, pretty reasonable price. Also ordered a pair of Brainwavz pads for them, interested to see how they compare to the cheaper Superlux HD688B, which are basically an AKG KO brand.

I keep a pair of AKG M220s (relabelled K240s) around because they can be a very likeable set. Which Brainwavz pads did you grab? I personally use the Brainwavz Round Velour pads on my M220s as it helps give some more bass and weight to the low end.

I got the hybrid pads, I like the hybrid style, I have them on most of my headphones, Superlux HD688B, Philips SHP9500 and Sennheiser HD518, although they’re actually an AliExpress KO, not actual Brainwavz pads, although one or two might have been, can’t remember, but they were like $10-$15 a pair…
The Brainwavz I ordered for the AKG K240 MKII were $39, I think, something like that.
