They’re all excellent parts, especially the A90 and D90!

The 660s are a very well respected headphone. what made you choose them?

what kind of music do you like to listen to? we can make recommendations for what your next steps could be

Solid, but if you don’t like them you can buy more stuff, sell here and there, upgrade and be perpetually curious for the rest of your life as to how much better your system could sound if you changed one thing here and one thing there.

Welcome to our lovely musical hell hole.

Welcome! ‘New’ to audio and jumping straight in the deep end, looks like. I haven’t personally listened to any of the items purchased, so can’t speak to pairing. From sentiment I’ve seen voiced by some others, including M0N, the A90 is a solid choice, though not necessarily top choice in the price range. Same goes for the D90 afaik, as it’s good but the price to performance is lower than some others. Certainly not a bad place to start, and a nice looking stack!

I do have the 58x, which is supposed to be very similar, at least in signature, to the 660s and they are great and haven’t been picky about amp pairing.

I watched Z’s review of the 660s and thought it was a good place to start. As for music anything really.

I think you did amazingly for a first set up. There are various biases for and against these supremely well-measuring devices in the DAC and Amp… so you’ll get mixed subjective feedback from people. I know the Topping D70 DAC, which I love; you went for the higher model. I haven’t heard the A90 amp… but again, from what I know of their previous amps, the designer participating on another forum (ASR), and reviews )not on this forum, lol) , I trust you did spectacularly well.

The Sennheiser “600” series has been a staple for a very long time now… kind of a rite of passage at worst, and a favorite thing at best — so you have to have one. Baseline knowledge kind of thing. So you started with the latest…
