So I need some speaker and amp suggestions because I bought the Jbl Sub550p when it was on sale looking to spend about 3-400$ on both. Passive speaker would ideally be front ported or would that matter anymore since i have the sub. I have a grace sdac balanced and a schitt magnius, if this helps any.
The speaker amp would ideally have bluetooth. This is mostly for movies and the occasional background music. If possible I would like speakers that can play quietly as well
Just a quick note I won’t be buying these soon so I would like to see something that has a stable price.
Assume its for a desk. Get some ELACs on sale theres a cheap aiyima amp that got a good review from asr.
Sorry for the late reply, I dont think I can use that amp since I need a subwoofer out and theres no option on the aiyama.
If you dont mind the size its not audiophile but it will give you decent sound and its a solution for the sub. I got one (2.1 TV) and so far 6 months no problems with amp TV or speakers. Amazon basic amp, can pick up one for $95. right now its $127.00 seen go low as 70 bucks. Amazon warehouse $104.
Cheap out the amp to get by and spend $300 on speakers.

The placements of the port are probably most important in terms of how they will place in your room.
If you need your speakers to be close to the back walls, this isn’t ultra-desirable, but a front port or sealed enclosure would be less boomy than rear ported.
Also, one thing to think about with the Magnius as a preamp is that it never shuts out its pre-outs (no muting when your headphones are in). So you will need access to the power amp to turn it off when not using, or another solution.
I had a similar obstacle with my desk setup. I bought an SMSL SA300 due to the 80w a channel, and the actual sub out. So now the Zen DAC feeds the sa300 (I know it’s overkill, but RB42 can be challenging to drive), And the sa300 subs out to the Ayima 50x2 - 100 x1 to run just the sub. Sounds great on my desk.
As a side note, I may have a barely used set of Jamo s803’s in white for sale that were replaced by Studio 530’s. If not, they’re going to become side surrounds, and my Infinity qudrapole’s will be moved to become the back surrounds.
I’m in no rush or need to sell, but I’d be willing to let them go for a fair price. They were gently used as my bedroom speakers, so they were primarily used for tv watching and vinyl.

Aiyima got a dac/amp for 155 england money, the pound ? Its got a subout looks like a fosi audio same manufacturer ?
I cant seem to find that amplifier I might just go with smsl sa300, just for convenience sake just need to find some speakers. That would work well with what I got and what I’m getting.
If you guys have any recommendations for front port speakers, preferably that looked nice, so I don’t run them with the front cover
