ARES II
how do i make it run through my RME ADI 2? ive only ever had dac/amps so connecting a separate dac to a seperate amplifier is new to me. ive got rca’s and i dont have a usb cable for the ARES 2?/
The challenge here is that the RME doesn’t have an analog input, and the Ares II doesn’t have a digital output. Do you have an amp besides the RME? If not, I might know of a good home for the Ares 
Assuming you mean the RME ADI-2-DAC FS and not the ADI-2 Pro FS R or ADI-2 FS, you painted yourself into a corner.
In other words: You can’t
Like what MazeFrame mentioned, if you had the adi-2-pro-fs-be, you’d need a device that had analog inputs.
