My Phantoms came with a balanced cable. Your’s didn’t? That’s strange.
2nd batch on didn’t get the balanced cable if I remember correctly. I was 2nd batch.

This cable is a prototype and I will make a new cable next month.

How’s the LCD headband mod ? Give you any trouble ?
The biggest trouble was, to get the yokes and yoke rods. Here in europe, it is not so easy to get parts from Audeze. After that, I designed custom spacer, so the yokes can fit with the holding system from the Phantoms. I only done this, because the stock headband was quiet uncomfortable after some time for me. But yeah, it is rly comfy.

I need some help.
I already have removed the inner foam and the plastic glued to the grills. Now i need to change the pads. Between the earpads that you guys have tried, which one made the sound less muddy and the vocals less blurry, with more body, clearer and more focused ?
Excluding the stock earpads, the only one I have tested was the perforated Brainwavz XL and hated it because the sound had a strange echo and reverberation, and the vocals were lost even more on the soundstage. Im still using the fluffy one, but it´s soo muddy and have soo much blurry vocals 
Have you guys tried the Brainwavz XL Suede and the hybrid on it? If yes, how was it? both are easiers to find on my country… Audeze Suede and ZMF ovals will be really, reeaally hard to find but, if necessary, i will get it somehow…

Have you tried it with the plastic mesh on the grills without the inner foam? In my case, removing the inner foam solved the muffled sound on some songs. But I mainly use them stock with brainwavz hybrids as the only mod.
i’ll let others using the perforated pads give you their take on what may cause that strange reverb and recessed mids.
Aren’t the perforated ones pleather? That doesn’t absorb sound as well as real leather (or velour). I thought the perforations were supposed to ease that problem though.
Yes, they are PU leather. But for some reason i feel a very strange echo and reverb that makes a song totally not enjoyable.
Using with the plastic mesh and without the grills remains the same, with muddy and blurried vocals. Removing the plastic mesh on grills only improves the bass and soundstage, at least for me.
