New $900 iem center image

Hi everyone! I just bought the most expensive iems I’ve ever invested in and they sound amazing except for the center image. It’s very slightly to the left enough that average listeners would probably have a hard time hearing it but it really bothers me. Has anyone had this problem with iems before? If so what was your solution?

Hmmmm channel imbalance? Have u tried switching left to right and right to left? It happens with audio gear, could also sometimes be the fit but if you feel something is off it more than likely is

What IEMs?

Set your audio to mono. So long as your hearing is good, it should be direct in your head.

Outside that:

Check your plugs, both the jack and the connectors on the IEMs.

Change eartips. Your right might be too small.

Yeah, imbalance too. Swap connectors on the IEMs.

I tried different cable, dap, tips and I tried a mono recording. One of my daps does do mono so I will try that and I didn’t think about swapping connections. Thanks  I’m gonna try that now. O they’re the new nannas.

I noticed that the vent holes on top are different sizes. One is slightly smaller than the other. Do you think that would affect the image? Cause a imbalance?

If it’s a multi driver IEM, you might have a bad driver in one IEM causing the problem.

Try taping over all the vents on both and listen to that in mono. It’ll sound bad, but if the vent is at fault it’ll be do to reduced air passing through it. Cut all air off from both, see if that fixes it.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking when I first got them. Its 2 electrostatic,1DD,1BA. If the BA was bad was bad in the right would that shift the center to the left?

Just in case.
I would make sure you have the 2-pin cable in the correct direction/polarity as well.

Yeah I tried different cables and it was the same. I also tried different tips and still the same. I’m thinking maybe a bad driver in the right? IDK

Yes…
