I’ve been using my Samson SR850 for a few months now and I’ve saved enough for either the xDuoo - MT-602 hybrid amp or the Sennheiser HD 599 SE. Both will cost me around 100 dollars. My current headphones don’t really need the amp but I would definitely like to see the difference, as I’ve never tried an amplifier with a headphone. I’m very new to the audiophile scene and would love to continue my journey with a second purchase.
So is it better to try out new headphones or get an amp to bring more life into my existing headphones?
HD599SE…it is a vastly superior headphone and you honestly should hear things in your music that you have never heard before!!! I have them and LOVE them!!!
then a proper DAC / Amp setup would be an idea.
