Just discovered these. Does anybody have them yet? Apparently these can be used in conjunction with some included software app which can do room simulation as if you’re listening to speakers in a room rather than headphones, to include speaker placement in the simulated room.

Got our pair of these in last Friday. Really enjoying them a lot so far! These will probably be my daily driver for a while. I went ahead and created a page on the site that has all the info needed for making your own cable or purchasing a cable for these headphones. Here are some pics I grabbed for HAC stuff:

I did some direct comparisons of these to the HD800s and HD6xx. These are superior to both, IMO. They are closer to the HD800 as opposed to the HD6xx. The midrange is pretty much identical to the HD800, but these have better bass extension, and slightly smoother treble. No 6k peak. The soundstage on the HD800 is a bit wider, but these are no slouch and sound more natural, IMO. Even with the praise these are receiving, I’m not sure people realize how good these actually are, especially for the price. I see very little reason to buy an HD800 with these existing now. They are also extremely comfortable.

Hi.I found your comparison of the 490 and 800s.I’m currently choosing between these models, and I can buy 800 for just double the price of 490.
Do you still think it’s worth buying 490 instead of 800, even if you have a good price?
Have you tried the eq for the 800s, if so, how do you like the bass compared to the 490?
The bass is better on the 490s. The 490s are better out of the box. But I do use the 800s more with EQ applied.
