Yeah, but the rest of the build is great, I personally wouldn’t be concerned about the wire breaking anyway but it is a downside. Those are great for bass too
Oh my, looks like that’s a certain situation back then that I had when I was like legit getting my first set of cans. (Was going for the M50xs back then but due to my dad’s persuasion of me buying the M40x instead, I managed to dodged a bullet.) I hope you will the find the cans that can overall satisfy your needs but we all know contentment and satisfaction is hard to find in HiFi audio.
I would throw in the Sennheiser Game One as a contender (there is an all black version called the pc37x available on Drop too). I absolutely love it and the mic quality is fantastic. I’d look up some reviews of that. Zeos has a review of the pc37x and you should take it as a review of the Game One.
yeah true, better get gaming cans from well known audio brands that produces good cans and iems instead of going for ones that makes keyboards. I would pick still the MH751/752 due to its design and of course you won’t be embarrassed to use those outside for a listen.
Hello again, thanks for the replies to everyone.
So i haven’t been sitting still…
I have now tried the:
Sennheiser GSP 500
Audio Technica m40x with hm5 pads
CM mh751
Philips Fidelio X2HR
So between the CM and the MSR7 wasn’t enough difference for me to like them more.
And the rest was pretty much too bassy, i liked the m40x’s most but there is something that still just didn’t do it for me.
I gotta say it’s a pretty fun project though to test some headphones. Anyway, the m40x dont take in my BoomPro mic. So i thought well why not just order an HD 58x instead because that doesn’t take a BoomPro mic aswell. I’ll update here again when those arrive!
Nice, well I hope you enjoyed at least trying a variety lol
Hehe really enjoy it indeed!
The HD58X is 135 dollars now so
P.s. don’t really care about budget anymore
Well I hope you like the 58x, it’s a pretty great headphone
I’ve had the msr7’s for almost 2yrs. The X2’s are not an upgrade but are pretty good. The cables for it are a terrible match up when it comes to sound. The short cable sucks out base, and the long one kills clarity imaging and soundstage. This is what I got on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Degree-Right-Angle-Aux-Cable/dp/B07DL2NHY7/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=emk+cable&qid=1572674153&sprefix=emk+c&sr=8-3# I use it with my Cowon D, and Xduoo Xd-05. Cables normally don’t make a difference but this does. I see theirs a black thinner one now on there but I have no clue how it will sound.
I’ve just received the HD 58x. And boy are they fine! Really love them for everything I use them with.
Nice, well glad you enjoy them
They really make my MSR7’s sound way too high and crisp… really best headphones I’ve heard yet.
I always read this as MRSA
