Yeah, you need one of those amps though otherwise it won’t work properly because of how hard they are to drive.
The Fiio K5 Pro is about 150 USD brand new on Amazon.
@Vespahawk Also make sure you get the regular silver color, the black color messed up the tuning they did something weird to it for some reason.

The black color looses some of the spatial accuracy and also is brighter (it’s the black pads)

You can do that and it would fix the issues, just make sure to get the genuine beyer 880 premium pads

The K712 is an excellent headphone. Lightweight and very comfortable and with an engaging sound signature and excellent sound stage. At their current price point they are a bargain.

I have the black version and love them.
Thinking about trying the silver pads too, just to see… But the black sounds fantastic to me.
Go for the silver pads. They will make them much more accurate.
