All done
@nymz Whenever you get a moment, is it possible to take a picture of the Tea 2 besides the Olina please?
I just want to gauge the shell size difference, thanks in advance.
Hi @nymz .
Wich eartips do you recommend for the Ej07 OG? Looks like the OG has a langer bore than usual. Do you know if SpinFit CP145 (4.5mm) will fit?
Sorry for the bad quality photos, but I’m not at home until monday.
Left to right: RSV, Tea2, Olina. I threw in RSV as it’s the biggest IEM I own, just for good measure.
Let me know if u need any more info/pics.
What I use is a simple, but no so easy to find, silicone version of the chopped complys.
Chopped complys were brought to my attention by Michael Bruce, as he chops the comply foams to the same level as the bore, making it it exposed and untouching the tuning. I loved it, but I don’t like to messed much with chopped foams as my canals are strange. I basicly did the same with silicone.
I shove them down so they still seal, but don’t affect bore opening, as they end at the same level as the bore surface, giving me the best sound and comfort. I use this trick on EJ07 and RSV. I would also rec it for Variations, Volume (if you ok with stock tuning), etc.
Tips that you can use to do this, as far as I know:
- Azla Sednalight short
- Mele/Olina stock tips (ones I use)
- Whizzer SS20
- BVGP W01 (great tips btw, my go to besides spinfit nowadays)
I would completly avoid Spinfits on resin iems like EJ and RSV. You want them to fit deep. The least I would do, would be wide bore, especially for its tuning and stage.
Thanks a lot, image quality is good enough and wow RSV is one hell of a beast in size.
Is the EJ07 roughly around the size of the TEA 2?
They are close, but EJ and RSV (and Variations, and volume) have massive nozzle width, especially RSV.
The photos may make them look close, but Teas2 fit is closer to Olina than to the others
Thanks a lot man
O have the Mele’s eartip so I am covered when the EJ arrives. But Just ordered both BGVP and Whizzer to check it out how it compares.
Regarding resin IEMs…this would only apply for the ones that use resin bores right? For ex: The Tea is made out of resin but it’s bore is made out of metal.
By the way each ones do you use one Tea’s? I am currently using CP100 Since it increases the bass a little bit compared to the stock tips.
Yes, that’s correct!
Radius Deep Mount on OGs and W01 on Tea2. I’d say you covered if you ordered W01 for both!
Music is love and love is only real when shared.
Im sending out my own Titan S and Mangird Tea to @Erokh so he can try them. If anyone else here, that is a regular and lives inside the EU wants to try them, we can arange something. Let me know.
I’ve also donated most of my budget gear to other people so they can try different spieces, only keeping benchmarkers. Spring time cleaning.
I don’t know if I can thank you enough for that, man. You are a real good person.
… Or you’re as evil as a drug dealer, making me test something knowing I’ll instantly be addicted
50/50?
It’s all good. As stated, I can add other stuff to the tour package, if people wish to, but I didn’t kept much.
Yes I think it’s great the way you share iems. This allows people to hear them when they might not be able to. It also allow people to understand what you like and how the reviews fit their wants. I want to say that is way above and beyond !
I’ve always done it between my closest audio buddies with EJs, RSV, DM, etc.
300 and below is far less risky. If it goes MIA, well, I made someone happy anyway
Your special in my opinion.
That’s awesome that you are doing that for the community!
@nymz Youre way too kind, brother. This would be an awesome little way to bring the community even further together.
Because it’s getting boring, here’s something to cheer up and wake up early in the morning:
I’m curious how warm this sound will sound on the N3 pro
What is that?
Lamps . If you ask about FR, that’s a lot of FR interest, but I think it’s quite L.
If the driver is good, it will kick like 100 mules
