Thanks man! I ordered the Tea2 and am wating for it and already looking for other IEM as an addition or upgrade
Would you say itĀ“s worth the extra money when you own Tea2?
Give Tea2 a good spin. I love that set more everyday.
Once you figure out what you wanna upgrade you can start to look for it. EJ07m/KL have some of the best money to performance above 500 you will find.
Sounds like a good advice
From around 3:11 to around 4:52. The decay on Kinda Lava is just magical. Iām starting to feel platonic love for this et.
Big props to Larnel, what a beast.
So do you enjoy KL more than OG EJ07M?
Itās more āfunā and less ādryā. Fun is relative. I might do, but Iāll reserve those comments for next week, once I can A/B them!
Damn I wish there was a place in the US to demo these! Iām so tempted but $600 is to much to blind buy. I guess I could do Amazon once it appears on thereā¦
I think I need to up my source game first though. Been torn between a dac/amp combo or a dap like the n3 pro
Dude!! Killing it with the first impressions. Thanks for this. Definitely an interesting read. I look forward to
More reviews on YouTube and what not
Ahah glad everyone is liking. I wrote all that before work, so I bet if I re-read it again I will find a lot of typos.
Anyway, thanks for the words music is all that matters!
Super helpful impression Would love to know how it compares to the OG 07 and 07M
that cableā¦
Not too shabby huh?
Itās a bit stiff/thick, but matches so well that I had to.
Kinda Lavaās arrived today and they are amazing. These are the first pair where I did not have issues with treble. I have a playlist that I use when I get a set for the first time to rest the different frequencies. I also revisit this playlist as the set matures, Io see how the sound changes. This was the first time where I did not wince from any harshness from a new set.
Here are some of my thoughts on what I feel about what I have heard so far.
In Seven Nation Army by The white Stripes, you can feel the base in the intro. The feel of the base continues in [Titanium by David Guetta] and the female vocal come to life.
In Donāt Stop Me Now by Queen there seemed to be a base undercurrent that seems to elevate the song, which I had not noticed before.
Playing Pachelbel Canon in D - Royal philharmonic Orchestra t(David Guetta - Titanium ft. Sia (Official Video) - YouTube), the separation of intranet seems was unexpected and the deepness of the cello was a pleasure to hear.
Now, what is any test list worth anything without Hotel California - MTV recording, the intro seems to come to life. For me, this continues as the song progresses.
Playing Youāve got to have Freedom, there was no excessive screeching from the sexiphone during this track. It sounded as if the set had already been ābroken inā.
Returning to classical in Tabula Rasa; Ludus - AngĆØle Dubeau & La PietĆ , the harshness of the violin seemed to be kept to a tolerable level. Normally when I play this on a new set, it can be an unplesent listen.
PlayingvFeeling Good by Dominique Fils-AimƩ was a dream. Her voice is haurnting.
After going through the playlist, I thought I would finish Sound of Silence, by Disturbed. In Sound of Silence, I was able to pick up a guitar playing faintly, keeping the melody of the song as built up to itās crescendo. This I have never noticed before.
This set has past my expectations. This is definitely my number one set.
EJ line up baby. It gives you goosebumps. And Kinda Lava just proved me all my fears were nothing but that. Itās a freaking volcano red beast and Iām loving it!
Thanks for sharing and nice track selection
Thanks. I did not mention what it does with county music and I am itching to try some reggae.
Man, those kinda Lava are tempting me so hard. That cable is beautiful by the way!
@nymz Please suggest me an IEM with best Vocals and good performance allround under $600. Is Tea2 fits the billā¦?
EJ07m, EJ07m Kinda Lava, Tea2, Tea, Olina.
What else do you look into besides vocals? You can share some tracks if you want to.
Oh and welcome to hfgf
Thanks for the prompt response. I usually listen to Genres like Pop, Jazz, R&B. I donāt like overwhelming Bass. I prefer neutral to warmer signature.
