I know I am about 3 years late…but I picked up a pair of BLON BL-03 over the weekend for my commutes back into the office. After spending some time with them over the past 2 days, I continued to be extremely surprised by how much I like the pairing (BL-03 + Fiio UTWS5). I am still in a bit of shock at how good it sounds, especially with the more expensive IEMs in my collection. Granted, my standards were just for it to sound better than the AirPod Pro Gen 1 but man…the BL-03s far exceeded expectations. The bass slam is great with great mid-range. Treble can get a little sibilant on certain tracks but definitely not unbearable by any means. Crazy that sounds like this with just a single DD vs. the hybrid / tribid set ups in my stable.
Apologies in advance if these impressions go against conventional wisdom in this thread. =P

Are you sure? I’m currently trying PodsPro1 with Spotify and ultra dynamic music and I can’t believe how dynamic and open they sound! I also listen to them with calm music and they have nothing to do with Chinese DDs!
No one told you that every DD is from china anyway?

Don’t get me wrong - the APP1 is a decent all arounder…but to my ears, I find the bass texture is not as good as I’d like it to be. The BL-03 seems to be closer to what I was looking for. Bass quantity is definitely there. The BL-03 seems to extend a bit lower than APP1 as well.
But now seriously - there is a difference in technology! Big difference!!

As much as I don’t want to nag, I think there are deaf people in this forum. How can you compare the bloated and obnoxious sound of the Blon 03 to the Pods1. Deaf people would hear the difference.
