Serious question on Monarch though? I’ve heard Dom’s and it does NOT sound like the mid-bass is that tucked. What are your ears telling you about your set? That tuck looks gnarly on graph!

No tuck for my library, but I can’t speak on the texture yet. It’s a BA for sure.
A $1000 IEM is not using it’s DD for the full bass response? That’s an OOF, even if it is good bass!
You didn’t know? Tea2 does it as well. Woofer is relegated to under 50 hz for woob woob effect.
The good think about BA mid-bass is that it play this (1m and forward) like a hot stove on butter:
It never occurred to me that when a set has a DD it wasn’t handling the whole frequency. But I guess that’s why some sets will specify 1 DD-bass, 2BA-mids, 2 BA or EST highs

My nitpick atm goes into stage depth. Everyone going crazy about a mid-bass tuck on a 1k set, I’m going crazy on WHERE’S MY U12T/SERRATUS/TRIO/Z1R DEPTH??

Ahhh I agree - there is a lacking of depth in the stage for sure. Wide and tall, no doubt - but there is a sonic wall pretty close to your eyes unfortunately. But that’s probably my only true nitpick.
I didn’t take enough time with them to note that, but I won’t be shocked to find the soundstage isn’t what it “should” be. Dom’s head trying to wrap around Starsea’s staging made me take notice
(I read that back and I’m like Goddamn that’s some good punning!)
