Fellow members of the Tea Cult, I come with bad news: the Original set of tea that literally created the cult is gone: the DD died on me a while ago. The original artefact of our leader @nymz is then gone, and wonāt be retrieved.
But, fellow believers, in these dire times, we shall not cry, we shall not be sad, because I have the PROOF that if we keep the faith, the tea Gods will ear us and will answer our prayers.
Now, here is the time to tell you another parable about the tea Cult:
After the set died on me, I wandered. I sinned with other sets, other brands, but nothing was able to give me the fullness the Tea gave me; I felt ashamed and lonely. And most of all, I felt empty.
While I was losing myself in despair, a fellow member of the community helped me. āItās not over, brotherā @ttorbic told me. āI may have a way to resurrect the Tea Set; I know a man. Go, see him on my behalf, heāll guide you through your prayers. Stay strong, keep the faithā.
As a sinner, I hesitated. āWhat if Iām not good enough? What if itās a lie? What if Iām not worthy?ā but at each of my hesitation, I heard this voice in me : ābe strong, keep the faithā. So I gathered my courage, and went to a journey to see this wise man, this Hi-Fri, as he was called. After having explained the situation, the man quickly accepted my request āDonāt worry child, you can be lost, but you can also be found. Iāll help you; the process may be long; it may be hard, but Iāll do everything in my power to help you.ā
And the process began. And it was long, And it was painful. The man had to do weird things, as sharing a video of the opening on youtube, inspecting and commenting.
ā- The DD died of moisture, he said.
-is it my fault? I should have taken better care of it!! How can I repent? can you repair it?
-itās not your fault, son, all the teas are sensitive to that. I canāt repair the DD, but I may be able to transplant from another tea setā
But the task was not so easy: Mangird have done several stealth revisions on the set, and some of them consisted of changing the DD entirely; as a test of our strength, it turned out none of the DDs the man had in his lair was the same as the Artifact, and that created imbalance in its magical powers.
āWe canāt do it like that. We have to change both DDs to keep the balance. It will change the sound, It will change the magic. Do you really want me to do this?
-Do it, we have to. For the Cult!! we need the Artifact!! If it dies, we will fallā
And the process began again, with its share of tears, of pain and doubts. Of silence, too; these terrible silences where you donāt know whatās happening, when you have to rely on Faith. But faith, this time, was not enough:
āIā¦ I failed. said Hi-Fri. Iām so sorry. A sound tube broke, and the Teas sound tubes are very small and specific; I canāt get this kind.ā
At this precise moment, I couldnāt retain my tears. So all was gone? the set, the gesture of kindness from the leader, the Cult? All this destroyed by a sinner like meā¦ all because of me. How would I be able to face my brothers again, after having failed so miserably in the only task I was asked? And in this time of despair, in this moment of darkness, the light came in
" I found another set for you, Itās on its way to my home.
- What?
-I send it back to you as soon as it lands here.
-waitā¦
-I donāt want to be rude, butā¦ may I askā¦ you pay for the shipping, please?
-waiā¦ whaā¦ whoā¦ OF COURSE IāLL PAY!!!"
So here we are: after something like 3 months of trying to repair the set on his free time and for free, Hi-Fri gave up, apologised for the ātime wastedā, and bought another Tea set for me.
And here is the proof:
I you payed a little attention, you may have noticed there is another set in the box with the tea. That is because I added an extra with my payment of the shipping , to compensate for Hi-Friās expense on the other set (at least) and the time he lost on this desperate cause. When I told him that, this crazy awesome guy answered me āThe little bit extra isnāt necessary, but it is appreciated so thank you. Iāll see about maybe sending you one of my creations as a little gift.ā
TLDR:
- Nymz gave me his pair of Tea
- the left DD died on me 3-4 months ago
- @ttorbic helped me contact Hi-Fri to see if he could and wanted to repair the set
- Hi-Fri accepted, and made a cool youtube video aout the tea opening
- he didnāt manage to save the set, but got another set of tea to send it to me, and added a set he created, all that for free
So now I have basically for free a pair of tea back and a new unique set!!!
I must admit I am still astonished by how this community as a whole can be generous, sharing and helpful. A big shootout again to @nymz for the original gift, to @ttorbic for the idea and the trnasmission, and to HI-FRI audio for the time and effort he spent on that
I love you guys. And Iām so happy to hear the teas again 
I suggest every cult member subscribe to the Hi-Fri channel, as a thank you, because the guy deserves it, and also because his channel really is unique and interesting 
during these 3 months, I thought about the set and I think the environment I was in killed it: I slept on it at night, and the set was store in the bedroom where the laundry driesā¦ It doesnāt seem to disturb the other sets I have, but the teas seem to be more fragile on the matter. So from this time, I will keep it in my desk room with the headsets, on top of a shelf and with 3 silicate bags in the case. I hope it will allow it to survive my living environment.

I havenāt experienced an equally good iem yet. The only I encountered was the tea2.
I must precise I havenāt tested other sets above 200 yet apart from these two.
But the sets I tested at/around 200 left me wary: none was near the magic of the tea, despite these sets having been praised (timeless, s12pro, dt300). I found the tea way more detailed in the mids.
Then, Itās not a bad thing: I now take more time to read the reviews and see what my next purchase could be. It prevents me from chasing each and every new flavor of the month. Weāll see where it brings me

Yap. Tea OG has a special sauce that is not found in other IEMs. Thatās why the cult was created. Iām sure youāll find a good IEM!
