After I travelled over seas and got everything out of my luggage my amp wasn’t working anymore whenever I turn it on I just get a consistent low pitch tapping sound and no audio comes through but if I touch the bottom of the circuit board under the the area in the picture it works until I turn it off. I’d like to repair it myself, I have a multimeter but I don’t know what I’m doing IMG_20200426_172358|281x500
Hi,
just check all the solder joints or if something has loosened at one point.
If so, I think that you can solder it on.
Then check operational amplifier again if it’s in the right place.
Probably they threw their suitcases around at the airport and a contact broke up somewhere. I assume that you shouldn’t carry this as hand luggage for the purpose of terrorism, it could be a bomb.
Physically all the solder points look fine though
Anybody pls halp
Unfortunately I also don’t know where to look.
The first thing I would do what I learned from my childhood is just look at the solder joints, check whether the cables are properly seated or there is a break.
Check whether there is a fuse that may have blown.
Otherwise, take it to an electrician who normally knows what is going on. You can’t see anything optically then it’s a code sensor that’s through.
Contacting Jds labs would also be an option.
But I think you can buy a new one right away, it’s not that expensive.
