Open back headphones under 200€

Hello, I have been looking for an open back headphone under 200€. I will be using it for music, casual gaming and youtube.

After some research I think I have managed to narrow it down to either the Beyerdynamic TYGR 300R or Philips Fidelio X2HR. The reason being that i wanted something that has a good amount of bass and soundstage because until now I have only used closed back headphones (specificaly the takstar pro82 and akg k361).

Thank you for any input.

Seems like you answered your own question. Only extra I’d throw into consideration is nighthawk carbon if you can find it at the right price as it was discontinued

Well, between the two what do you think would be better? I don’t really have much experience with headphones and some people say that the fidelio x2hr has too much treble and muddy bass so I’m not sure which one to pick.

Hmm, most of the time those who have issues with the treble are extremely treble sensitive as it’s not very bright… it’s very warm leaning on the signature. The bass is slightly muddy and bleeds into the mids.

Just depends on preference really… tygr is technically better on overall sound quality with its bass being tight and controlled but x2hr has the bigger soundstage and is the more fun headphone in sound. X2hr though can be bought for like $90 though so not much for comparison considering less than half the cost.

Where I live the x2HR is actually more expensive by about 20 euros. I’ll probably buy the TYGRs thank you for the input.

That’s quite crazy… definitely go with the tygr then
