So I’m trying to another set of open-back , I’m Really happy with 9500 im just lookin’ for something with a different taste to compliment it. So i’m open to suggestions
I know Z recently praised the Philips Fidelio X2HR, or do I go for the HiFi 4xx, HD5xx or anything else.
I’m Using a Topping MX3 for my desktop and FIO BTR 3 (Waiting for the BTR 5 review to see if it’s worth the upgrade)
I can power the HD 58x with the BTR3 and it gets loud enough for me. I love the HD 58x for movies and lazy gaming. I have a pre order in the BTR5 so I can give an update when I get it 
Would love an update on the BTR5, where did you preorder them i didnt see them on any no chinese wierd websites?

Thays basically the whole.list of open backs I would recc at that price point. Maybe 880 if you can find it at that price
880 are slightly out of range (they are 165$ right now as far as i know)
Dammit welp at least I tried . But the 58x , 4xx and Fidelios are all great. In terms of complimeting it I think the Fidelios can compliment them pretty well it the exact opposite it a tune for fun and bassy rather than a treble centric experience. Or the 4xx cause that’s just another good headphone to compliment
I think if he wants something different and higher performing, the 4xx is the way to go imo

I think it should be enough, he could always upgrade later on if need be.
I’ve tested the 4xx on a phone and sounded “okay” so if it’s better than a phone that’s a good start for sure.
