Portable, great detail, V-shaped/Bright

Hey all! It’s time again.
Looking to get myself a new (another) pair of portable headphones.
Portable = at least be able to lay them flat, somewhat small footprint. Got portable amp, so thats no issue.
I will mostly be listening to a lot of piano och violins. Now and then some Ben howard and Aurora or similar. I did not complain about dt 770 or the MSR7 to be painfully siblandt, so I guess I am not verry sensitive.
Have to be closed.

What I am considering:
ATH-MSR7 had these before, enjoyed them, head band not that great.
1MORE Triple Driver
ATH-M60X
ATH-ESW9 (Used).
SIVGA SV006

You had any experience whit either of the above, please comment, or give me sugestions!

I think the triple driver headphones would be up your alley, v shaped with great bass, very nice treble, and is portable. Comfort can be iffy though

The Meze 99 noir is really good. balanced, good treble, great bass

B and o h6 are my favorites for piano tracks for a portable set. Super tight bass. And just awesomemids.

the audio technica ath-ad900x are selling for 150$ at new egg. not sure how portable they are. also amazon but from the marketers

Not at all Portable and are open backs

oops, missed that

yeah id go for the meze 99 noir at massdrop, really nice, bright, balanced. has a mic on it

Oops missed your title I just read the discription the the one more tripe drivers are the way to go then. Maybe the DT 770 . The mezes are great if you want big boomy bass. Sorta consumer like tuning. They are dubbed audiophile beats for a reason

these look pretty good, going for 110$ used at amazon

Of all those choices, if you want something with blow your mind bass, yet super bright clear non-painful treble, 1More Triple Driver all the way baby.
However I would also recommend getting a portable amp/dac for them as they don’t sound the best on just a phone. The Fiio BTR5 is tiny, easy to use, and has bluetooth as well if that is handy. Super powerful too for the price.

They do seem pretty spot on, and I don’t mind on ear, if the clamp is ok.

I’ve had my eyes in these for a while, settled for the Sony mdr-1am2 as my bass cans when portable though. This time it’s all about that treble

I want to love them SO MUCH, love the looks and the build. BUT. I have owned two pairs of H6 (V1’s and v2). But they are just to… hmm… soft? For me.
It’s like what Z said that nothing sound bad on these, that you want get offended etc. And that’s not for me. But the build…

Amp/dac is no issue!

Might be that I get the 1more then. Unless I can dig up something else

Yeah, looks interesting, like the looks and reviews!

Yeah, the main reason people don’t like the 1More is the on-ear, they say it can be uncomfortable after a little while.
I would say the clamp is just right to where you can walk around with them and not have them fall off easily, yet light enough to where you don’t notice them too much, not unless you swing your head around crazy.
So yeah, those would be great. They have them on Massdrop for only $124 right now if that is an option.
And get a BTR5, or a Q1 Mk2 if you don’t like the BTR5 for some reason.

Reading amazon reviews it seems like there is an issue with quality? Seems to break after 10 months or so.
Any thoughts on this?

And regarding amp. Got the Xduoo Xd-05 plus on its way. Amongst others

I can’t say that I have heard too much about those issues. I would be surprised, the build quality felt amazing when I tried them. I do know that the 1More company customer service is excellent, and very helpful. Pretty sure they have a 1 or 2 year warranty.
That’s plenty great power for them!
If it is concerning, you could order from Amazon and add a protection plan. I don’t think they would break like that unless you did something serious to them.
