Power Conditioning

Would this be good enough power conditioning for high end (10,000 plus modern DSP corrected gear) setups like the “end game” setup I have planned?

Would I also need a good power conditioner for this to be plugged into?

Am power conditioning noob, just trying to plan for the future. Sound files probably won’t even benefit from this as I listen to hardly anything “audiophile” grade, rip.

It’s probably just acting as a basic power conditioner, unless the power goes out, most lower priced UPS have surge protectors and inline filters, but don’t regenerate anything if there is input power.

Having said that a UPS is nice to have if your power is unreliable.
Is it good enough? depends how good your power is and what your expectations are.

If you don’t need the UPS, you might be better off with some of the IFI IPurifiers, and a decent surge protector.
I have never seen any good comparison of power conditioners and their effects. I can tell you none of the passive filter ones I tried (and measured on a scope) made any significant difference to the quality of my power, or fixed the hum on my ZMF Pendant (didn’t have the regenerator at the time).

These days I run a PS Audio regenerator, it does make a measurable and IMO audible difference, BUT I didn’t even look at it until it wasn’t a significant portion of the cost of what was plugged into it.

A UPS is not a good solution for sound, the one you linked is double conversion, so that’s good. But unless you know you’ve got AC issues, you may not need anything other than a quality power strip or a good purifier for the additional AC outlets and suppression of spikes.

Okay I added the website page for all the ones they have and will consider them in the future if a power strip purifier doesn’t seem to do the job (how can I tell?)

If you don’t have noise from the equipment, just don’t worry about it until you get to the point additional expenditure in the area isn’t significant. Same with cables IMO.
If/When you reach the point where trying a $100 iPurifier is a trivial amount of money for the system, give it a try and listen.
I’ve not tried the iPurifier specifically, but most power improvements make the background blacker, which is more than just ambient noise, and generally improve separation and staging.
But for the most part the effects are subtle.

I won’t push my experiences on you, worry about it when the cost makes sense in your system, listen and make your own decisions.

That I can do!

I’ll probably just start off with this and upgrade if deemed necessary: AmazonSmile: iFi Power Station Active Power Conditioner Mains Bar / Power Strip / Surge Protector - Home Audio Entertainment Upgrade: Electronics
